Hell yeah! Great venue, great vibe, great time. I don't ever recall a better set of missions; each well balanced but with great flavour, and six different games.
Mucho thanko to my 6 superb opponents, each of whom was a top bloke, gave me an interesting challenge, were generous to a fault with my errors and were all very gracious in putting up with my scaredy-Tau shenanigans - big up to Anthony, Ash, Matt, Brad, Steve & Luke, I'd play any of you again any time. Thanks too to Andre for the loan of said Tau. My favourite bit of hobby seen over the weekend was definitely Tyra Nid's biplane Valkyrie for his Imperial Guard light horse - an inspiring addition to an already inspiring army. You've done my granddad proud, mate. Bravo Ben, other Ben, Hannah, Ramon, Consto, Steef, and the rest of the MIF crew - nice one! Agreed, Good work guys. Great Tournament, first time I have been.
Will be coming to MIF next year for sure. Hopefully next year I won't get sick before the tournament and will actually be able to help you out on the Friday night to setup. QUOTE were generous to a fault with my errors FNP on T5 Firewarriors? Thanks to Ben and minions. My favourite Tourney of 2009 is looking to retain the title in 2010. This is an awesome Tournament. Kudos. Thanks to all 6 of my opponents. Loved every minute. |

Thanks to Ben and the crew for running a great event. Location great, food great, company brilliant. Missions were a lot of fun, bit of diversity and but still ran closely to the general missions, cudos to you.
Thanks to my 6 opponents, James, Shaun, John, Ben, James and Adam really enjoyed all 6 games. First year, will be back Cheers |

Big, big thanks to Ben and the whole team.
Once again a faultless effort. Special thanks to: David Carter Rowan Marshall Alastair Grandin Cameron Thomson Anthony Zagarelos Daniel Galanis for 6 rocking games. David and Rowan I'd played before and these games were just as enjoyable as previous ones. Alastair, Cameron, Anthony and Daniel I got to play for the first (and I hope not the last) time and would cheerfully play again in a heartbeat. Thanks again guys for making my week-end. There were some very, very pretty armies there on the week-end and I would have been proud to have finished anywhere in the Painting top 10. To find that I came second gave me half a chubby and then getting an airbrush as a prize gave me the other half. Workplace bias aside, the Painting prize support from Realm of Legends was awesome. I'm not sure what the Golden child got for third, but I received an Aztek double-action airbrush for second and Cam Auty got to choose between the Vallejo Game Colour big boxed set and a portable spray booth with exhaust fan and ducting and stuff. Sensational prizes Once again, thanks to everyone for one of the best week-ends on the tournament circuit. Man, that was great. Mark, arc has a challenger for most excellent tournament!
Well done on the missions Ben and crew, they were probably the best tournament missions I've played. Really balanced and consistent, and allowed armies to play to their own strengths, and often led to close games. Thanks to my opponents, especially Dave Lewy for absolutely pantsing me in game six to win the tournament. Can't remember the last time I was that soundly trounced, and by TAU?! |

Yeah, and echoing MJB, thanks to realm of legends for the amazing support. That Vellajo paint set was the best prize I've ever won at a tournament. I promise to use the paints on my next tilt at the prize!
You guys really are legends. |

Man, that was great. Mark, arc has a challenger for most excellent tournament! I'll say! Non-broken missions? Why didn't we think of that?! Not to mention comfortable venue which was a pleasure to hang out in, novelty over-sized sports forms, and COLOURED paperclips... Utterly impressed on all fronts, i think the community will demonstrate it's appreciation many times over. Definitely a 'must-attend' on the Calendar.
To Ben and the team. A massive round of applause to a job well done. You all deserve a well earned rest before the next one. To my 6 opponents, Tim, Steven, Daniel, Leigh, Robert, and Mike. Thanks heaps for the fantastic games. It was my pleasure, and I would happily play you all again. To my fellow podium placers, WSWA and honorary WSWA member, 'We are Legion'! Awesome tournament Ben and your team. missions went off really well and I enjoyed everyone of them. Organisational stuff was handled brilliantly, a really slick effort. 6 great and memorable games, thanks to my opponents Dave Munro, Cam Auty, Tim Luckman, Ken Rolland, Paul Witterick and Neil Dorney. Some great lulz to remember. Mega thanks again to Leigh Roy for opening up his house again. back when he took the risk of allowing 4 smelly SA'ers into his spare room in 2004, I'll bet he hadn't realised he'd be doing it 4 times a year for 6+ years had an absolute whoot of a time, thanks for the event. htf did Lewy win it with Tau ? a deserving winner from what I can make out. stu -------------------- bambi
