In the grim distance of the far future there is always time for another game, with a friend!.

A chance to find the best pair of Generals through 8 games of 40k over 3 days.

Each player is to provide a legal 750 point force using the standard force organisation chart.

All current in print codex’s may be used. The latest Official GW FAQ's will also be used. Imperial Armour and Chapter Approved items and lists at the TO’s discretion (ask me early or expect a no).

You will have to bring dice, templates, tape measure, at least 2 copies of your army list (one for me, and one to show your opponent) and of course your army.

Please send any questions and your army list to MOAB40K@tpg.com.au

Army lists due one week from the event to the above address.

(more information to come)

Is this instead of the usual 40K evet, or a parrallel event?

Doesn't bother me - either way put me and Steve down for a pair in doubles. smile.gif

Ooo 40K dating service.

Just a thought, at 750 points some lists are going to be just 2 troops and an hq almost. In the cesnock doubles event they dropped the minimum requirements to 1 hq and 1 troops choice per player.

I did think about using the Warhammer world doubles rules but decided against it on the grounds of complexity and time.

I could be wrong but will keep that in mind for the next doubles event I run.

Not really, but it would be good to see father and son teams trying to crush Team Aeon!

That was my query. My son is only 8 but he's been playing for 12 months or so and has painted his own army. He plays in our club planetary empires campaign too.

How will armies in the team interact with each other?

sg can sanguinary priests give furious charge and feel no pain to allies?
can Farseers cast fortune/guide on allies units?

What happens when both armies are from the same codex?

Well at least we're safe knowing that Doom and Guide only work on Eldar units.

But that mind war + battle psyker = army comp -∞

No. Each army is a separate entity whose rules shall not interact with their team mates.

Seems interesting, since the wording of the entry is all friendly units. I can understand things like combat tactics etc where it mentions your army. Ah well I guess your say is final..... back to the drawing board, might have to go dairy free.

Where as fortune and guide specifically say eldar unit.
