Due to my bubbly personality and good looks we will be able to play over the NSW school holidays. Though it might be an idea to go to the toilet before you arrive.

The next games night is set down for the 24/9, start at 6.30pm. If you are planning on coming please let me know what you are bringing and if you have any games organised. We don't want anyone to miss out. Some of us will be playing boardgames and anyone is quite welcome to join in if they dont want ot play 40k or fantasy.

AGM

Is set down for the 10th October 2010, starting at 10.30 am. It takes about 30 minutes so if as many memebers can come that will be help.

We also need to decide who will run and the format for our Tournament we run in November. We need 2 members to run it.

Any other ideas you may have this is the best time to bring it up and discuss them.

GC Tournament

GC Club are holding a small one day tournament on 3/10, check their forum for the details.

Terrain building day. The Dan's are organising a saturday afternoon before Xmas to paint and put together some terrain; Dan L is under strict instructions to keep it simple. The plan is to hold it at my place and have a few beers and a bbq/pizza after. The Dan's will fill in the details shortly.

Well since everyone seems to be really warming to Fantasy right now may I vote we make it fantasy to accomodate everyone's wants to play it? And I'll be happy to stick my hand up to be a co-TO, as I haven't stuck my hand up to do it in a couple years, so I figure it's my turn again

As for the terrain day: Dan, Justin and I will be meeting at his place to do a lot of prep. work for you guys so when we all meet at Mick's on the sunday, all that you guys will have to do will be to assemble the pieces and paint it! All the other details should be taken care of, and I *think* all the paints and tools will be supplied by Dan L so no need to bring that along either Just need you guys to tell us what Saturday is good for you to come around and get it done, and then enjoy some beers and BBQ/Pizza

Can I emphasise our one dayer on the first Sunday of October? It's going to be a blast, and it's also going to be the last we see of Cam (The Dentist) as he will be going home to Newcastle permanently at the start of November. Entry's cheap, both 40k and Fantasy will be happening, and Gold Coasters will be claiming victory by default over Murwillumbah if you lads don't show

Hey all. With the terrain as mich and sideswipe have mentioned Im under oders to keep it simple and thats what will be happening. it'll be a simple paint and flock event, with all construction been done before hand.

With the gaming events im happy with either fantasy or 40k probly more 40k after the 1st turn slaughter sideswipe did against my Orc and goblin army last Mclub.

I'm keen for the terrain building even if we have to glue bits together aswell, just sounds like it will just be a fun night.

I'm still unsure on if we should do a 40k or fantasy tournament.
Tbh I feel we should start doing both annually. Everyone at our club plays both and half are more into fantasy other half more into 40k.
We could easily do both.

Its been years since i did a home club torn so I might enter this time, So with matts proposal im putting a vote to 40K ( for sick reasons oveously) How many points will Be the Ideal cap limit and total armour count cap?

I actually agree that we need both, as Battis said there are equal amounts of members for both systems and it would be fairer to have both.

I was just just responding to Matts constant demand for a 40K tourney. lol.

The only thing is we need to make sure that all members play in at least one of the tourneys. last year we had a lot of people just not turn up cause they didn't want to pay the 5 dollar fee. But its these events that help keep the club running.

Yeah, people forget that a $5 fee is nothing compared to the hours of his own time mick puts into the club. Everyone should play, if they don't we should beat them until they want to play.

Are you cheating again shooter??? Dont make me angry. Id be more than happy to pay $20 for our tournement to be honest. And if some ones being a tight ass ill pay for them. $20 for a day of funny really isnt that much.

I'm happy to play in both and entry fee doesn't phase me even if it was $20.
A lot of ppl don't relise the entry fee is pretty much fully recycled into prizes.

I had another idea with Kane, just an idea so say what you think.
Could be cheaper to scrap the trophies and buy/make/someone donate
a wooden shield/plaque and every winners name gets engraved onto it.
For example just say we started this in 08 the shield would have a "Murbah 40k annual" emblem thing in the middle then 2 small bits of metal on it saying "08 Leigh McGavin" and "09 Daniel Battis" and another shield for fantasy.
I'm pretty sure this would be cheaper and would be cooler I'd way rather my name on that then a trophy I'll lose in a few months

Actually I do like the sounds of Battis' idea actually! A shield would be kinda cool. Plus your memory would last a lot longer. And I mean after all. As wargamers, is immortality NOT our secret desires?
