Guys,

Anyone able to confirm for me that the Ravenwing army box contains standard bikes/assault bikes/landspeeders with a separate DA upgrade sprue?

Reason I'm asking is that I want to get some bikes for standard marines and the Ravenwing box looks good value, as long as the DA iconography isn't mandatory.

Thanks heaps.

Cya,
Andrew.

da parts are not mandatory

I am pretty sure they are standard bikes and vehicles but with the dark angels ravenwing upgrade sprues to make them all dark angely. I guess you are acquiring them from a UK retailer that gives exceptional value? If you find that the dark angel bits are integral then I will buy the lot from you - I can always do with some bikes for my dark angels successors.

Thanks Mike and Steve.

Checked elsewhere on the net and I think the consensus was that you get the standard kits with an additional DA sprue. Fabbo. You also lose some things like the metal bike sergeant torso, but I can live without them.

Andrew.

To elaborate, I don't know what the standard Space Marine bikes come as these days but my first bikes (not DA) came as a legs, torso with integral head, arms and back pack. The DA kit is much more like the standard marine kits and I am fairly sure that the DA parts are on the same sprues as the standard marine bits.

There are enough parts to either make a full unit of marines with no reference to DA, or you can make up to two marines as robed riders and put all the front section of the bikes with winged pieces.

The battleforce is a single full ravenwing squad, so 10 marines, 6 bikes, 1 attack bike and a landspeeder. the landspeeder comes with enough parts to make any configuration. It also comes with enough sets of paired assault cannons for the landspeeder to convert some razorbacks to twin assault cannons.

Hey cool - thanks Mike - will use these then to get some bikes and speeders.

Ah yes punctuation could have been better, I meant that it formed around a 10 marine squad, that squad consists of ...

The box set has 8 models in it not 18.

I don't know if they've been updated with the newest landspeeder kit.

Because the old kit only has heavy bolter, multimelta, assault cannon & typhoon options. ie no heavy flamer.

Also depending on the age of the stock you may get square calvary bases instead of the new bike bases.

PS if you do end up getting a box or boxes of these, I may have to buy/trade you the Dark Angel bits!

Mmkay - thanks. I've pit an order in, so will see and let you know. I may have to hunt for HFs though - did want those - makes speeders awesome anti-infantry.

it's the old kit i think. But you get 6 assault cannons with the box ontop of the normal 1 in the land speeder as well as tons of other things. You end up with 3 copies of the DA sprue with has heaps of things.

Had these finally arrive yesterday (order was in before the pricing flap kicked off).

Anyway - 'tis true - they're the old sprues. Anyone got some left-over landspeeder Flamers they could part with? Am happy to buy or swap bitz.

I don't think I have any land speeder flamers (heavy flamers right?!?), but I may have a heavy flamer from another kit that could be modified to fit if no-one else is able to get you the standard one. Let me know and I will have a hunt for one.

Sorry - yes - they're heavy flamers.

I might take you up on the hunt if no-one has a standard one. Thanks! smile.gif
