so ive decided to start a crimson fists drop pod army
this is what ive been thinking

the idea is the stern guard and ironclad come down first turn with the meltas combat squadding and going after transports which the plasma squad then shoots the occupants before gating away in the following turn. the iron clads then there to support the 2 combat squads and pedro.
the vindiactor is only in there cause i didnt know what else to add. any suggestions? am i doing it wrong?

I'd make the assault marines into a single tac squad.
Give the scouts locater beacons.

i was thinking drop the vindi and one assault squad aswell as a scout squad for a 10 man tac in pod and beef up the assault squad to 9

I'd make your libby a normal one, that way he can ride in a pod with ya. ALso drop smite for nullzone... It'll mean your combi-plasma will do more damage to things with an Inv. (Avatars, terminators, daemons, HQ choices etc) I'd honestly keep the two scout squads, cause the tac squad is honestly not going to be performing any rolls that isn't already covered by the rest. I personally would drop the vindicator for another ironclad. Combine the assault squads, and get probably 2 locator beacons. Makes gate more reliable that way.

The Libby can go in any pod he can fit in - remembering of course that Terminators count as 2 models for the purposes of transport.

yea thats what i thought, i wasnt planning on running him with pedro.
im also considering swapping the assault marines for 2 squads of 5 devastators withe pods and 4 missile launchers

I'd drop the 5 bikes with fist for either some speeders with missiles, some predators or some riflemen dreads. You need to bust tanks at range so your sternguard can then mop up what comes out...

Tom, that list is a lot stronger. I personally would drop the powerfist on the tac squad, and never actually put them in the pod and use them as long distance support. USe the remaining 25 or so to give your captain a stormshield...
