Hey guys just sweeping the land seeing if anyone plays Full Thrust?
im over in the west and ive had no replies on our local forums so was intrested to see how many of us AU gamers actually play (IMHO) one of the best wargames ever?
so yeah anyone out there? what do you play? where do you play?
i have an NSL fleet and an ESU fleet (tho the misses likes the game so i may be buying more soon)!

I play, but not ftf regularly. FTJava is my usual location (via FT Computer Core).

There is a semi-regular tourmanent at Conquest every Easter.
I play NAC/FSE/ESU with the occasional startrek/B5 list for custom build games.

The GZG-L maillist is very quiet, as St Jon^3 hasn't published any new rules in a long time (the casting side has expanded to the point where he has employees!) He really needs a new book published to kickstart interest again.

Download StarGrunt II for a squad level game (much better than GamesWank for playability) from the gzg.com site.

There are a few people in Canberra that play or at least did a couple of years ago at Canberra Games Society.

I've got a small japanese fleet but it's just collecting dust ATM.

We have about a group of 4 or 5 of us who were playing quite frequently at Hampton games club in Melbourne. We were distracted by a few big warhammer tournaments last year and hadn't played since but in the past week we have all been starting to feel the itch for some space combat again smile.gif

I have a NSL fleet, and our local players play ESU, Japs, UNSC and Islamic Fed. It is a fantastic game to play, using mechanics I hadn't ever experienced in miniature games before. I really don't think the game gets the credit it deserves.

I was advised to play the game using the Cross dimensions ruleset which was officially sanctioned by GZG which fixes a few imbalances and collates the rules into a much easier to read format. The link can be found here -http://members.ozemail.com.au/~laranzu/fullthrust/rules/index.html

I was curious how the game plays at tournament level? Are there scenario's used? What points are used for tournaments?

Staks.

Ah Stargrunt i actually own a copy of both Stargrunt and Dirtside! both superior to games twonkshop efforts. Dirtside is an awesome epic scale tank game!

Staks, cheers awesome site, reading it now! i think you are right this game does not receive the accolades it deserves having been a wargamer now for well over 20 years i have to say it is my top game over anything else!

Used to play years ago.
Still have my NSL - "the chickenship outfit" fleet.

'Course, they've also doubled as my Marine fleet in BFG. They look so much more like warships than the GW ones.

I moved away from all the players I used to play with (No doubt Tiberius knows some of them - otherwise, they'll be hiding out at WSGS.)
