So i scored a copy of the 4th ed by BI and i played a game with my brother a few nights ago..

great game, munchkin next... talisman has opened up a new world of board games to me as i had previously thought them all "monopoly, cluedo, ect"

ill buy the pack to convert it to be compatible with the fantasy flight stuff next week and pick up an expansion or 2, which expacks would be the best to go for first up? or must they be added in order?

now for a couple of questions.

1) a couple of times we flipped shrines/pools ect that we could "drink" at or w/e to gain +1 str, craft, hp at.. can a character drink at these and take a point the same turn they are flipped? it doesnt say to but does drinking forfeit a turn or anything? (i dont think so but yeh)

2) when a stalemate/loss occurs when fighting an encounter are you free to roll and move away next turn or must you stay and fight? (we played roll and move on, monsters simply await their next prey)

3) once cards are added from an expansion must those cards be removed if playing a diff expansion? iam guessing not and that they simply keep adding into the pile for standard games and avail for all expacks as it would make for tedious work removing cards.

1) You get to use the benefit when you flip the card (so you take +1 str oor gold or whatever. You MUST move next turn so the only way to get more out of the pool is to move away, then come back later. You CANNOT stay still and forfeit turns to take more.

2) You played this correctly.

3) We just leave them in the pile and if one of them clearly doesn't make sense (transports you to a non-existent location etc.) then redraw, otherwise just leave as is.
