As stated on the title, who's going to Pilgrimage this year? I'm working out leave as we speak so I should be good to go. Leaning towards WHFB at the moment, but Warmachine is tempting as.

Would be nice if we could all go down to represent the West...
Psyche
I'm thinking yeah I may just go to this. However am having trouble deciding just what to play. WHFB? 40k? Or also warmachine?
Gorgrunt_Ironhorn
Well, with so many players jumping ship to Warmachine and the top WHFB players travelling to Europe for the ETC, we might have a decent chance of cracking the podium at Pilgrimage.

Bring your Ogres, I'll bring the Greenskins armata_PDT_36.gif
Ra-num
Do you think we have a chance sad.gif .

Would be good to get some Tk battles going, sounds good and local armata_PDT_01.gif . I will ask the boss and the little bosses.
Gorgrunt_Ironhorn
Anyone can make the podium, just depends on how you go on the day.

My Ogres are far from ready. However I have picked up a nicely painted horde of beasts smile.gif

Go for it. My beasts aren't painted and I can't be bothered to paint them ATM thanks to GW.

I can't give you an exact, definitive % of your chances. But I will say that your chances improve dramatically if you go as opposed to not going.

Leave approved. The Greenskins are coming out to play.

With Tk I say 30% chance for me with Skaven I think 35% chance... Meh, not worth the cost dry.gif .

I'm just gonna turn up, play 6 games and have fun - podium or not.

As for the cost, well, it sucks but it looks like the rent charges a whole lot more when events are at Castle Hill.

Can't afford $50 of fun armata_PDT_08.gif .

If it's organized by or if the TO for 40k is the same as dogcon, then you can count me out.

Gee, and here I was thinking my $$ issue was sad smile.gif.
Gorgrunt_Ironhorn
That's about the only worry with these events out at Castle Hill, the cost. Even with the early payment fee of $40, it still is a bit dear.

But in hindsight, the bigger tournies used to be at North Sydney, where a ticket was cheaper at $40, but the toll and petrol prices used to bump that price up even higher.

So yes, while the ticket may be a bit more pricey, we won't be spending as much on gas since it is a lot closer.

Yeah I'm out unless I get a IT job soonish.it's tourney or Talisman:Dragons eh no brainer.
Gorgrunt_Ironhorn
Wow, you're still looking for a job? I thought you would've found one by now...
Psyche
Had a great time at Dogcon, dunno what scots doing a 'Norwood' about. That said the prize support was really crappy. Didn't care though, got msyelf a chainsword trophy and some great games in!

Gee, what else is new? biggrin.gif

DogCon was great and was well worth the $$$ after playing off for 2nd place against Australia's best player and going up against one of England's best.

I think at this point you should just look for any job, not just I.T.

Missions were poorly worded To wasn't around to answer it till 5 minutes to go and the paint scores for peoples armies were more like a random number generator.

You didn't play 40K though, also I didn't have any bad players it was just the TO for me.

Edit:
As Mitch pointed out a vulkhan, melta spam drop pod list got 4/5 for comp.

I'd go but the chances of getting a two day leave pass for wardollies is nil.

From the thread under General 40K:

QUOTE(sharper1911 @ Jul 1 2011, 11:12 AM) *

Come on guys sign up to play 40K. I didn't play but at Dogcon heard that a lot of people had a great time playing 40K and Jon is running this again so should be just as good.

IA allowed as well and I'll assume it is the same stupid panel comp, means it will be a definite no for me.

Edit: Double, damn interwebz.
