Ok so its more major fualts in assembly?? Arms missing and such?? Thats good jews for me i suppose.
...Lets just chalk that one up to auto-correct and move on

So, prizes. I understand some people like prizes when they win (or even 'do well') so despite with most of the support resources going towards the swag bags, I organised for a few. Aside from the already announced CGS Dragon trophies and certificates, Highlander winners will receive gift certificates from Mind Games Canberra to the tune of...
1st - $80
2nd - $50
3rd - $30
And 1st place also gets a WM 'Wrath' book release poster from PPress. Now that might not seem too exciting since everybody is getting a Wrath poster from PPress in their swag bag. The difference is all that the winner's poster sports rather a lot of signatures from the PPress Mothership.
Enjoy - more to come later

Maybe you could get former number 1, James Moorhouse, to sign the posters as well?!

Fair warning - Mr Moorehouse assures me he intends to use his feat at Cancon. Beware!

Just had a good question WRT the Highlander event and tier lists. The short
version is that tier lists are allowed, but they do *not* over ride the format restrictions.

I'm wondering what the spread of armies is going to be?
I figure people will know what armies they'll run if they don't know exact lists
I'll be running Mercs/Mercs

Something that has worked well in the past to encourage people to field a fully painted army was a special prize draw for fully painted armies... rather than the best painted army - something which only 1% of the player population will generally have a chance to win..
I.e. If you are fielding painted army at the event, you get a ticket into the draw to win a prize...
Just a thought.

Good idea and puts everybody that has put time and effort into this side of things in with an equal chance.
As to my army- was going with Cygnar both days but trying to get 25 pts of Legion done for the Highlander event. Nearly have everything assembled but painting maybe a different story.

Yes, its a fine idea and a concept I am well aware of and specifically considered for this event. However, all going to plan, I have gained access to a judging panel that has probably won its body-weight in Golden Demon statues.
It seemed a waste to have them drawing raffle tickets from a hat, so the sponsor and I went with something else.

I'll announce full and final details as soon as I can. In the meantime, I thought it would be a good idea to give people a heads up that there is something in the works for painting.

Good to hear
A quick update - We are down to just 7 slots for the Friday event and I have received (and approved) the 1st set of lists for a player. Keen them coming. The more work that can be done in advance the better.
I have added factions to the list of names in the 1st post. If you posted and I haven't added it I either missed your post, or don't know your real name. In either case a PM will sort it out.
I will continue to add factions if people continue to post them.

Get a refund from CGS and send me a PM (ASAP) with your real name to formally advise that you are giving up your spot(s).
After I get the PM I'll put up a post confirming the vaccancy and seeking an alternate player. Until I get that PM and have made that post, there is no vacancy and any posts seeking the spot will be ignored.

People have started submitting their lists via email as suggested on pg 3 of the players pack. This is a good thing. Keep them coming people.
Does Victor Pendrake count as a Cygnar solo for Highlander? (it seems that is the case since he has Cygnar in his description, but want to clarify pls)
