A one day tournament for Dark Eldar Armies only!

Army Lists - due 15th of November

Date: 20th of November

Location: Unlimited Hobbies located at: Unit 2, 94 Kildare Road Blacktown NSW

Entry fee: $20 pay on the day, also includes a pizza lunch. Cost without lunch will be $12

Time:
Open at 9:00
Game 1: 9:30 – 11:45
Lunch: 11:45 – 12:45
Game2: 12:45 – 3:00
Game3: 3:00 – 5:15

It will consist of three games on the day and missions and all relevant special rules can be found under the mission thread Here

Scoring
Battle 100% With each game being out of 25 Points for a total of 75 Battle Points.

Painting - All armies must be fully painted (3 colour minimum) and based.
Screw it, just as long as most of an army is painted

There will be no comp or sports (it's fun and the guys turning up shouldn't be a problem anyway...except for this Scott fellow) Also as if Dark Eldar were supposed to play nice i want to see every dirty trick there is.

So comp wise bring what ever you want that and the missions would throw normal comp out the window anyway.

Restrictions: - this is where it gets fun
- 1850 Points
- Standard Force Org Chart
- Only armies from the chosen using the Dark Eldar codex can be used.
- Each Special Character can only be used once (see below)

So this is how it will work:

- Each player can choose one and only one special character before the event (sooner will be better)

- If someone else has already picked the character you want then move along and choose one that hasn't already been taken.
I'd support any dealing / bribing / games before hand to fight over who gets said character or not

Great idea! I am so jealous. This would be a must for me if I lived in the area. What better way to see the multiple ways DE can be played using the new codex. Some decent Archons have put their names down to attend. Qld has a few DE die hards but even after the release of the new codex only a few have jumped on board. For the new comers it is more of a project than a way of life as some of the figures are great for modelling.

Well you've got almost 3 months then.

Also, you only need to have 3 colourson all your models, as it is 100% battle, soft scores are for whimps.

But if I'm coming over for a one dayer, then in full hedonistic fashion, I'm expecting other Archons to spend the second day in a drunken (and possibly poisoned ) stupor with me on the second day.

Well with another fellow club member that I'll have to track down and my sub in case of odd numbers (yes i have that much DE I can run multiple armies), that will make it ten.

Also there's a couple more I might be able to wrangle so looks like we might have 12 dark eldar players attending, I've never seen so many all at once.

Yep, that's me. And you can expect to see my DE army running all of the scourges I didn't turn into hawks.

After actually checking the dates (odd, agreeing to tournaments drunk has worked out well for me so far this year) I'm going to have to decline as my trueborn's birthday is on the 22nd.

Though I'd be glad to play if this becomes popular enough to hold again.

I may be able to convince one of my friends to come along as well if we need more numbers, as it turns out hes running 1850 of my dark eldar at stout...along with me running another 1850 of my own dark eldar at stout...

Seeming we've got more than 5, will probably be looking at an October time next year and multiple days.


Yes bring friends, won't really need more numbers just if it gets bigger, I'll add in prizes for 2nd etc.

Also with only 3 games being played and so many potential players I might re-adjust the missions to have tertiary objectives as well, just so to try and avoid 3 guys going undefeated. It is after all a 100% battle tournament.

I only just noticed this! Sure, I'm down. I haven't got that many Dark Eldar painted yet but the bank is making me take two weeks off in early November anyway; if need be I can hunker down and get my painting done then.

I don't own any Mandrakes so I guess I'm going for a generic HQ. Although I guess the old female Archon could be a "counts as" Vect - she's got a splinter pistol and a sceptre thingy...

Guys I'd like it if you can PM me your army lists by the 15th of November so i can check that you haven't made any mistakes in it ie undercosted over points limit etc.

So far I have 9 players including my self with a another two a possibility and I have a spare player (in case of odd numbers so looks like we'll have 10 - 12 players attending.



I'd like list that are easy to read eg:

What (points) - upgrades only (don't list standard wargear)
hence "Venom (65) - splinter cannon" to me means it has two one standard and one upgraded


Archon (170) - huskblade, combat drugs, soul-trap, phantasm grenade launcher, shadowfield

9xWyches (148) - haywire grenades, 1xrazorflail, hekatrix - agoniser
- Raider (85) - flickerfield, night shields, shock prow

Ravager (125) - flickerfield, night shields


List the point costs for transports separately as they are separate units after all

Are you okay with Army Builder formatted lists? I can probably send it to you in PDF if that's easier.

Otherwise I guess I'll retype it.

Real life has decided to get in my way again. I now have several things going on for that weekend, including a possible funeral, which all take priority over everything else I had planned.

Yep you can have duke, well with odd numbers now, my friend will be using all my ravagers (yes i;m covering two armies as well) but i do have a spare dias of destruction with 3 dark lances so there you go ravager supplied.

Unfortunately RL matters have stolen much of the time I had scheduled for painting over the last month and I am well behind. I'm afraid that I'll have to drop out because I'm not going to be able to get 1850 points painted to the three colour standard, let alone what I'd consider finished. Sorry.

Okay seeming as we've lost people as it is I'll waive the painting rule.

Argh im changing back to lilith i cant bloody make a list im happy with using the duke. I keep trying to maximise drugs and remembering i only own 9 wyches and 6 reavers then i try to make a deep striking list and realise i dont really want to deep strike next to dark eldar. Warriors get eated by wyches and wracks.

So i'm lilith, final call, no changing making list now hahaha

Right now I have about twenty models that need work to get toan acceptable level (five of which are reavers). I can certainly make headway in one week, but I'll never get them all done. Maybe I'll prioritise models that won't be riding in a transport?

Yup, sounds like a plan, dont worry! Main thing is to come along and have fun, and hey, we're playing the dark anyways right? Everyones bring night vision goggles yeh?

I hate wyches darn things just explode on me if i want an invuln save ill just take kymare, of which i own like 25 of now in various forms (5 warp beasts, 10 old flesh houndes, 1 new kymarae, 7 Horde models of beasts and some dire wolves around)

Let's see, old school stuff I have heaps I have a dozen raider chassis, plus at least 3 ravagers. There's old warriors by the bucket, probably another 10 Wyches (only undercoated). I have about 8-10 reasonably painted Incubi, plus maybe 5 ot 6 undercoated. I can dig out 6 old Mandrakes, 2 old Talos and more

Let me know what you need and I'll make sure I bring it. Best PM me to be certain.
