Depends what else is in your list. Vindicators are fun, but as soon as they are Weapon destroyed they are pretty useless. The fact their weapon is only 24 means it is pretty easy for enemies to get melta in range. At least a predator destructor has 36 inch range... POTMS helps a vindictor a little, but not much due to it being easy to get rid of its gun...
This argument has been hashed out on the B&C thread as well. There is equal support for both vehicles, however it is essential that you have target saturation for the vindicator, otherwise it will get pinged pretty early. Normally you give it PotMS and Extra Armour that way you are ignoring damage results of 1 & 2.
Suprisingly the Predators with PotMS are also VERY effective, as they can then fire at two separate targets, or they can move flat out and still fire a weapon. Not cheap but I found that they become extremely effective and versatile. In the luckiest round, I had two autocannon/Las sponson preds both with PotMS, they wrecked/destroyed four vehicles in a single round, cant get much better than that!

Clearly, you're forgetting about pintle mounted storm bolters.

I sure hope you are joking.... Storm bolters are a lucky weapon, lucky if they do anything unless they are bought in bulk...
AV13 tank scooting around the table ramming and tank shocking stuff, not useless without a weapon.

Personally, for Black Templars, the Vindicator is ideal. POTMS and extra armor, and you have a very heavy threat that your opponents have to deal with, or they are gonna get smushed. Take 3.
If you can't afford to spam them out, as well as your Marines in Razorbacks, then go for the Preds.
