The first battle draws to a close and the Kopadian Hegemony stands triumphant!

The Imperial landing zone on Corabie has been cleared of invaders, but at a steep cost in lives. As both sides prepare for the next engagement, after action reports are drawn up and Battle Honours given.

And that's a wrap.

At the end of the day The final scores were:
Helix Crusade: 10
Kopadian Hegemony : 19

So a solid victory for the separatists, although they didn't have it all their own way, with the Imperium beating them on kill points.
On the Apocalypse table we had Jeal Edwards and David Hine vs Geordie Irvin and Duc Le.

Make people pay before hand so you don't get "last minute" withdraws. Restrict the FO to Datasheets & formations. Make a ruling on that bloody dread special character that practically immune to Melta & monstrous creatures. Try to keep it to one single game do no one feels like people are doing their own thing

Otherwise I had loads of fun. Looking forward to the next one

Thanks for the feedback.

Definitely agree about prepaying. I probably should have not run it without a set minimum number of players.

Also promotion probably could have been better. Some of the drop outs were because they forgot it was on.

I think the only reason the special char dread was a problem was because he got into perpetual combat before he could be shot. Most apoc armies would have plenty of S8-10 shooting to mess him up with. Hell I had a S10 gun not three feet away.

I see what you mean about the guys playing 40k by themselves. Ideally there would have been 12 people playing on the 40k tables, so it would be more like playing in a standard tourney for them.

I'm curious what you mean about restricting the FO to data sheets and formations. What are the benefits?
