I will be bringing my camera with me - with my new macro lens too so i can get some nice close shots of some of the really nicely painted kit.

Looking forward to seeing the photos as you were getting good quality shots before without a macro lens.

Things are looking interesting. I've already received 9 army lists and so far we've had no double ups for any codex.

My photos coulda been a bit better, but some good ones came out of it. With the macro I can get REALLY close with minis.

And I've upgraded my flickr account to pro, so unlimiited downloads and uploads.

PS. Sent you my army list. Probably be comp'd pretty hard for it, but we'll see.

You will find out your comp scores on the day Heath - when depends on Spakka, as if he releases one persons comp scores then everyone else will want theirs as well.
Better to do it all at the end of the event...

I have some counts as, Damo has seen them, I have tried phoning and PM'ing you concerning this, as per the players pack, with no success.

AA bunkers on sentinel legs as dreads, zombies with antennae as psykers(all except 1 model which is the GW psyker)

Hmmm, strange - missing a call is one thing, but I haven't received any PM's from you Chad. Try sending me an email with pics of the models if you can, though if the dread/bunker conversions are still using the parts you were telling me about before, they should be fine.

Zombies with antennae for your psykers doesn't sound like a problem either. As long as players can clearly distinguish them from other zombies, it's all good.

In relation to photo ops!

Lunch will most likely be the best time for it to be done.

I tend to play quick, and if you have games finish quickly as well, Im happy to do photos of a model/unit/army/army on diarama during that time as well.

I'll be pretty obvious, I will be the one with the camera on the tripod (probably wearing a Redbull F1 racing Shirt).

I will post up photos on my flickr account and if you want full size shots of your model/unit/army (done during lunch), Im happy to arrange it you can PM me here, and tell me the photo if it appears on my flickr, and you can provide the link to me to the photo you want original size of.

Lol casperion I'll keep you Farr away from my army, haha only decently painted unit are one of my elite choices. Everything else I started painting when I first started out lol. The elites are post learning blending/highlighting skills lol

Dont worry, mine will completely suck, I prefer to play, not paint, I can build somewhat decent models...

With the late push in numbers - if anyone can help out with terrain it would be greatly appreciated.

Might be a prize or two up for grabs for the people who can help out the most.

Mark C has informed me that he can provide some terrain if required.

After a couple of late entries this morning, I am currently expecting 26 players. I would like to have enough terrain to cover 14 tables - the 13 tables we currently require + one spare table just in case.

Will be going over our terrain later today, but at the moment I believe we can reliably cover 10 tables between the Good Games terrain and the terrain I am personally bringing along.

As for terrain we may well have enough but better to be safe than sorry.

Okay. Just received Noels army list as well, so those are the only two I'm still waiting on.

Let me know if you need me to take anything from the store terrain wise, also if you need spare boards-I have the 1/2 boards at home from Gos Hobbies.
If you can let me know before 11am tomoorow if you need the boards I can load them in the car tommorrow before work then pick up terrain tomorrow night after work.
All my terrain is at Good Games- I might have a couple of bits stashed somewhere though.

When you are in tonight Thorfinn I will have chat with you and see how we are on the board situation.

Yeah, we will need the boards - thanks to a couple of late entries, I'm going to need enough for 15 tables now (14 to cover the players + the 1 spare table).

You can pick them up in the morning if you want, but keep in mind that there will be more of us around in the evening to do the heavy lifting, and having helped out my step dad with more than a few gyprocking jobs over the years, I have no trouble at all with lifting those boards.

Also, the hall hire team have requested that we lay down some sheets underneath the boards to avoid scratching the top of the tables. They've had issues with other groups damaging tables in the past, and while I don't expect our boards will be a problem, it's more of a precaution than anything else. I have a few spare sheets here at home, but not enough to cover all the tables we need. If you have any you can bring along, that would be great.


I'll add you to the standby list. I think we're okay for the moment, but it's always good to have a backup in case someone can't make it.

Don't worry. Even if you get smashed, you'll still have fun and also learn a lot.

My first tournament had 8 games over 3 days. I got utterly crushed in 7 games (tabled by turn 4 or 5 in all but one of them), and just barely won one game against one of the other newbies., but still had plenty of fun and I came away from the event having picked up a bunch of new tips and tricks for my army.

Can I use marines as my mine markers (as Im running necrons)? I havent got any 25mm bases left - as I dont buy other bases to use for my models usually
