Stuff doesn't need to be painted.

I'm keen to go to Warriors March, maybe even Summer Legends if i can get my s### together.

Anyone else interested? We could practice the lists at the club and maybe car pool to the event to save on costs. I went to the Winter Legends last year and it was heaps of fun. Laid back cruisy atmosphere and players.

i is interested but if i go i will want a fully painted force(good reason to paint them all) so lots of painting coming up for mes

You know, we could prolly grab the hall on like a weekend and just try to do a mass painting marathon. I found i always paint faster with some others around.

Won't be able to commit to any Tourneys just yet but giving you guys some practice and a good enough excuse for me to get a 2.4k list together and painted.

ideas is for knights plus juggy hero to go one flank with horsemen shagoth the other i have 3 units of warriors with war shrine plus 2 wizards to hold middle and advance across the field

Solid list Shortie, points values are a little off for a couple of units, sorc lord should be up around 385. I <3 Book of Secrets. Where were you gonna put your hero?

Good plan though. Three units of warriors is a chunky little core. That will be fun for your opponents to deal with.

Only problem I can perceive coming about it the possibility of having your core units swampified if you are playing someone with hordes of undead for example. Just a possibility, warriors will likely plow through them eventually anyway.

ya but with Woc u are always going to have that problem

True. When I play Counts I tend to put in a bunch of marauders, but you don't know what you'll be playing so best to stick with the toughies.

i hate the models of the marauders so i don't use the m:P

I feels you on that, I can't seem to paint them in any way that is appealing to me.

That hall is a stones throw from south bank train station too. I've been there before. So, a train is also an option. From memory there is very limited parking in the area.

Yeah 'Big March' looks good. Gives us a month to get some gear painted up.

2400pts Warhammer Fantasy. Single day tourney in Brissie. The more of us that go the cheaper it is if we carpool.

Gonna get smashed but plan to have fun. Might even make up a dodgy club shirt for the event. Written in nikko that says 'Beerwaaagh, cause we like beer, and we from Beerwah' or something....

Ross and I are going. C'mon Beerwaaghians. Who else is in? List due in by this Friday. Couple of spots left in the lineup.

Nicely done. Pity i couldn't get along to that one, but being in another state for work counts as a fairly good reason i figure.

I played beastmen game one.
10-10
but in one more turn he would have wiped me. I only had one temple guard left. He ran a block of 50 gor with SIX characters, I could not attack the unit at all and he ended up grinding me down. I had terrible luck in his magic phase and he managed to get T and S buffs on the unit and A buffs on the Characters.

Game two was Deamons.
17-3
He tried being tricky but really underestimated the temple guard. I charged his bloodletter, knowing I was giving my flank to his Daemonettes. He ended up getting his greater deamon in too. I just put all my attacks into the units and wiped the lot of them.

This game was my first opponent ever who really put a lot of thought into exactly where units are and where they will end up, blocking charge lanes and being a general annoyance

Game 3 was VC
0-20
Two Terragheists, several Banshees
The game went a little like this:

Turn 1 Screams, Screams, Screams, Screams, Screams
Turn 2 Screams, Screams, Screams, Screams, Screams
Turn 3 Screams, Screams, Screams, Screams, Screams

Game 4 was warriors of Chaos.

This was a great game, Takara, you need a warshrine.
1st turn the hellcannon took out my Steg in one shot. The warshrine rolled a 12 and gave the big Warriors block Stubborn and a 3+ wardsave. My templeguard got T8 and regen. They stood around poking each other for the rest of the game..

Game 5 was Byron.
I cant remember the score, I was starting to loose the plot after 2L of V
Byron Castled in one corner (as much as you can with so many units)
So i aimed the lizards, and fired.

The Arachnarok snuck around and charged the skinks, who tied it up for long enough that it was flank charged and run off the table by the temple guard block. The rest of my army advanced across the table, byron had some bad luck with the Manglers, they really did not hurt as much as they should have (not of my units anyway). The saurus and steg hit the big block of gobbos and nearly managed to wipe them, I think the gobbo champ was all that remained.

All in all a fun day, but I dont know if I would survive 5 games in a day again. Also I hate VC

Also, after you guys have been to another tournament, do you think we could realistically hold a small one in our hall?
