Inspired by BWS's brilliant delaque I got cracking repainting mine. Here's the first in a long line:
He's shown with the leader but he'll be going goth too with a very pale skin tone as I think it makes them look more sinister.
Sorry for the terrible scan, he looks heaps better in real life. Took me about 2 hours and whilst he isn't the best model I've painted I'm very happy for the time taken. You can't see it very clear but the pants are actually built up in cross lines of blue to make them look like denim. It actually turned out really good though it was a pain to highlight.

Looks like a pale version of Vin Diesel. Good work.

I thought that too - great minds eh?
I quite like the grim, dark approach you've taken with these guys. The only thing I'm not so fond of - and from what you've said, it may be the scan at fault here - is that the metallics look a bit rough.

I actually though he was a Vin Diesel look alike too. Lachy, the scanner is party to blame but the silver isn't crash hot. It really needs a highlight (it's just 2 shades of silver with a heavy black wash). I'm used to painting minis to the best of my ability but with these I'm more inclined to get them done quickly and then go back & touch them up.
Also a tip, painting over a varnish is very difficult. I redid the leader and I forgot he was varnished. Was a bit of a pain:
All the other models will be painted like the ganger except probably the heavies who will have green army trenchcoats to help them stand out (like a massive heavy stubber doesn't!)

Looks pretty cool.
Only thing I dont like is the Metallics, the black wash really doesnt do it for me over a dry-brush metal. Paint the metal on solid, then do a light wash, I find this is a good method. Dont use a wash if you dry-brush.
The rest looks good, I can see the nice 'denim' effect on the shotgun guy, cool
Cheers,
Tom

They are painted on solid. It doesn't look that bad IRL but my scanner really doesn't like metallics.

They look alot like mine, except I managed to get a really sickly-looking skin effect by washing Rotting Flesh with Chestnut Ink. Also i found that blue tops and pants look too bright under the black and so I re-did them Dark Angles Green and AHC Olive Drab respectivley. To finish off I trimmed the coats and picked out the snake details with AHC Metallic green.

Trying to muscle onto my turf I see
Looks cool, reminds me of the Mafia, especially with the pinstripe pants bloke with the bolter.
I find the delaque models to b a joy to paint, not overly detailed, but enough detail to keep you interested in painting them.
Now I just have to finish my 5 other gangers.

Got another one done. I also went back and removed the red from the first ones lips as I kept on stuffing it up on the other models:
He only took me about an hour to paint and as I've had a nasty hangover today I also played around with making some plastic cawdor:
Both have potential I think and these were only very rough mock ups.

Lol, the CBF factor when I am hungover prohibits me to ever do any painting

Thanks Buddha. I won't be using plastic Cawdor but someone had asked how to do them a while ago so I gave it a shot. Now Escher is the only gang I can't conveniately convert up from plastics.

Got another one done but my scanner's not working
Whilst I haven't been taking my time on these and have made a few sloppy painting error's I'm really enjoying how they all look together.

Bit of an update here. I've been playing a few games & come to the realisation that I don't have enough troops so I'm back to redoing my plastic delaque. There's be a modelling diary after I finish assembling the last one (there wil be about 16 of them!).
