Howdy, I wanted to get my Bt list up to 2000 pts fairly quickly for a little tournie this weekend and since I don't have my assault termis yet, I decided to paint up some GK termis to field instead.

While I was painting them a thought crossed my mind to use a little 'Knights of Round Table' as inspiration for names and heraldry, so here they are:

Brother-Captain Lancelot, Brother Gallahad, Brother Gawain, Brother Bors and Brother Percivale

Very nice, i love the red lighting swords! I prefer that dark grey armour to the usual bright silver, they are 'Grey Knights' after all, not 'AAHH MY EYES THEY BURN!..Knights'.

looking good. nice to see some one do GREY knights.

I like your interpretation - as others have said, the dark scheme is a nice change from the inevitible bright silver.

The arcing red detail on the swords really "pops" too... all up a damn good effort.

Is that Gold NMM on the sword hilt? Looks amazing, particularly next to that excellent blade design.

The only thing I can see that isn't top notch is that Lancelot seems to be levitating ever so slightly.

Nah, it isn't NMM, it's actually metals, though i'm a fan of NMM, I just couldn't be bothered for what are all intents and purposes, 'Tabletop' minis.

Levitating? Do you mean the gap between his foot and the tile? I assure you that it's unnoticeable in actuality smile.gif

Thanks everyone, it really warms a fella's heart.

Nice work mate! Love the way you have done your blades. However i think you could have done a few more highlights on the groin cloth of the leader. Might just be the photo though.

Well done mate!

Great stuff, I prefer them in grey than silver. Big fan of the power weapon effect & the heraldry too, very well done.

How did you do the bases? I'm doing something similar & these look top notch.

They're not too hard to do, I just cut some thin plasticard strips approximately 10mm wide, cut into squares the same width(score and snap), trimmed the corners, shaved the sides, cut some random cracks and super-glued them to the bases. After the glue was dry, I trimmed all the edges off.

The steps were made by chopping up other bases, with a bit of glue and greenstuff.

Was hoping there was an easier way sad.gif

:-D

If you need a similar yet easier way, then have a look at this

Mind you the way I did it is neither hard nor time consuming, for a flat 40mm base, it took maybe ten minutes for one all up.

Honestly,

Best GKs ive seen. And a Python reference just topps it off perfectly.

Ludicrously well painted and detailed, fantastic use of colours, wicked swordwork. *sigh* im stuck for words.

Awesome.
