Are milliput and green stuff the same (or practically the same)? Which is easiest to work with? Are they both suited to different purposes, and if so what are they?
Do they both create really strong bonds? Once set can they be filed or carved to final shape? Or are they too brittle? What's the best way to use them?
Thanks for any help.

BWS Milliput and GS 101.
Greenstuff:
I find that it is better for sculpting details, although is hard to sculpt a hard edge with (Brown stuff is better for that). Sort of bendy when it dries. Cant really be sanded.
Milliput:
Grainier, very tought although is brittle when, not great for detail like GS, but can be sanded, so is good for filling gaps.
Apparently if oyu mix both, you get the awesome powers of GS and MP combined to be some super putty, although I havent tried it.

I'm no expert shotgun but i use both.
GS- I have found it better to work with, good for detail and bonds well. Once dry is easy to file, drilling is a little tricky some times.
Mili put- When i use it , it's been good for terrain and bulking out things, detail work is a bit sketchy, biut is alright for filing although it sometimes crumbles.
Since i got 36 inch of GS i have not used mili put in a while. Someone will be more specific on their uses and good and bad points.

Careful - messing with the order of nature is dangerous.
Milliput is stronger and harder, better for doing bulk work with, and GS is more for detailed work, as it's easier to work, but not as strong for making huge areas or joins compared to milliput.

try and find kneadatite from shops overseas Shotty, it's the trade name for Green Stuff and you can get about 36 inches for roughly $30.

RudeBoy - The finer grade of Milliput is called 'Milliput - Silver', and I haven't found a place to buy it here yet, although there is a british website
www.ebobminiatures.com who stocks all your different modelling putty needs. Postage is fast aswell, I got my order back in three working days

$2850? Well, at least you got some change from three grand...
Paul (redwarf@bigpond.net.au) is the Australian importer for Kneadatite (greenstuff and brown/aluminium). I'm about to order my next package, so I can start sculpting again.

I think you may have been charged a little bit too much for postage on that one....

So I need greenstuff for the finer modelling work and milliput is better for bonding and joints (and before estel chirps - not those joints. Dude).
What are the best tools for working with these?

Tools, that's a good question. I myself use a soldering toolkit I found at $2 shop, it has lots of crazy little pointy things, I don't know if you can get a specific scuplting kit.

Hell yeah!
Dentist sculpting tools are available (for working on teeth obviously)
Jewellers sculpting tools, etc
all very pricy though..

IIRC Redwarf also supplies the sculpting tools. At least, he did back when I inquired last about...2 years ago?
I might actually shoot him an email, I need some more GS...

I've also found the tools from my wife's disecting kit can also be really useful. Luckily I got to the 2 kits she was about to throw away a few years ago.

Speaking of which, how do you get those? Just ask at the dentist for old ones? or are they available from somewhere else?
And back on the topic of Greenstuff... does anyone know of a place to get in WA other than GW?

Those GF9 tools look great - has anyone here tried them out? I have a set of wax carvers, but they're a little big for 28mm figures - if the GF9 ones are closer to dental picks, they'd be great.
Zustiur - try the email address in my post on the last page. Paul (Redwarf) is in NSW, but does mail order. Highly recommended.
