well one fairly horrible tactic the nomads are good at is targeting(marking) things and then using guided missiles from their remotes in the backfield to ruin their day, but its a pretty horrible thing to do, save it for ppl you dont really want to play again lol

Don't do it. Its the only remaining blight on an otherwise excellent game.

So, have you headed in a particular direction?

A lot of honest goodness in Corregidor but I love the Bakunin non-furry models.

I love the Bakunin non-furry models.

I share the same opinion with this one.

I'm wondering what are the strengths and weaknesses of the Bakunin sectorial list.

That depends on what sort of thing you like to do. Bakunin can make a VERY strong camo list with 3 zeros (minelayers are good), 3 prowlers & Bran, meaning you can start the game with 10 camo tokens on the board around the halfway point. Do things like use a mine-layer to drop a mine (in camo) over halfway so they think it's Bran and deploy him in your half of the board. Watch with glee as they try to come around a corner and spot him to have him explode and shower something with much death!
They also do the hacking device plus/ guided missile spam type list (lots of repeaters thru markers and deployable repeaters etc...) really well, but a generic Nomads do this better than pure Bakunin.
Mostly, find the models that really appeal for this faction (for me, Prowlers are the real awesome for Bakunin) and start to make a list around what you want to do with them. A link team of moderators is always a decent and quite effective addition to a list for them.
