Okay so going to be revamping an old army that i started sometime ago, now all the bases are layered with filler and in most (if not all cases) pva glue and rocks.

long story short how would all of you nice people go about getting this crap off as the models are flimsy in the legs.

if it helps i'll start a hobby blog to say thankyou smile.gif
Samanos
try leaving them into a mix of dettol and water for a day.
i use it to strip off paints but i observed that in most cases it makes the crap vanish (after u rub it a bit that is)

hope i helped.

I'm assuming he doesn't want to strip the entire model, hence his comment about the legs.

Easiest way is to cut the models off (scalpel under the feet) and glue them to new bases. Or if htey are slotta-style bases, sometimes you can snap the old bases off.

deamon feet man that cutting the bases off sometimes leaves you with no offt as the pva loves them to much (talking bloodletter/deamonettes legs)

Soak those puppies in metho.

Water.

Soak them in water.
PVA NEVER stops being water soluble.

Shouldn't hurt the paint (unlike pva, acrylic paints ARE waterproof once dry).

im not worried about the paint job at all, bit that makes sense safer them dumping them in turps
