Hey I will be there for some 35pt testing.
Hopefully my list will not look like yours as well.
I was told last night that I should consider making the switch to epic Thagrosh for the last games. Go for the whole he got bigger during the league thing.
It sounds like a good idea...
Though I would have to buy the mini (oh woe be me)
But then I would have to assemble it (that could be fun)
And finally paint it (... oh now I see the problem with this plan)

well i'm still liking rhyas, but may switch if my money is parted, or to absylonia.
i also would like to get some square basing in as well.

Ok I lashed out today and picked up the eThagrosh kit.
This could be a lot of fun now.
I will probably try to use him in the upcoming 35pt games where he gets loads of beasts
(or at least I give him a heap)
I tried Absolinia a while back and she really feels like a support caster.
She doesn't really have any offensive spells and her in game combat skills are not that good.
on the bright side she makes beasts so cool!!
I currently have a tier 4 list for her at 25pts that I might try next league session.
After I have gotten my arm lock, slam and trample off.
I am also thinking that there could be a lot of movement shenanigans if I start playing seraphs
No sorry I just reread the animus and it is only a 2" move... not as cool as it used to be but still useful.
oh well thoughts as always

i think i only have push left to go.
headbutt - check(first week - chain attack from bezerker)
trample - check (trampled temple flamguard first week)
slam - check (combo and normal slam in first week)
weapon lock - check (vs dave on thursday)
throw - check (threw sandi pheonix jack with jugger)
yep just push left to go.

The push should not be to hard,
Since you can use it for some movement shenanigans you should be able to just push one of your own guys.
Not really the way it was meant to be used but legitimate.
I asked Ben if it had to be an enemy model pushed and he was not sure and has not said anything to me yet.
I still have - trample, slam and arm lock
mostly because I have been using way too many angels to do the work
I think that the trample is going to be the hardest since you have to kill 3 models and there are not many players taking a lot of infantry in their lists.
I am swapping to a double carni list to try to get most of these off next time.

first post of the league thing. all the power attacks have to be vs an enemy model.
so you and hugh's little shove my caster forward games was for nought.

but yeah its the trade off of killing something to give it a shove in a game.
I got lucky in that Sarah was using the TFG in the first week and I think i killed 6 with the jugger and then cut her caster in half.

Yep - from the first post of the league thread:
QUOTE
Power attacks: Scored the first time a player makes a successful power attack against enemy models during the league.
Trample has an extra condition added in, to make it a little harder to get. Still, by the time we're playing 35 point games there should be plenty of armies with infantry in them

well then i cheated for a point, please make this right by docking me a point.
davac
Mar 25 2012, 04:33 PM
Hey this was why i asked Ben if I could do that.
Ben could you make sure that my push is not counted yet
(unless the Angelius animus counts towards it because I successfully pushed away 3 or so enemies with that one

)
Just another power attack for next week.
but at least I also get timed turns next meeting, one free point per game for playing with a timer, that is just gold.

Mar 25 2012, 04:34 PM
it really is
hobitir forik
Mar 25 2012, 04:38 PM
pure gold that is, because my understanding is that players have the choice, and both players do not have to do it, eg, i can and davac could choose not to.

Mar 26 2012, 05:54 PM
Hey, there is no way I am missing out on an extra point by not playing a timed game.
That is as good as a win to me
But yes I like the fact that a beginner can chose not to play timed games but you still can.
It helps to let them see what the effect is on an opposing player
So that at least is a good experience.

I'll be bringing my Orcs & Gobblins. I'd organized a game with Bloodbrotherdave, but would probably be up for a second game if we get done fast enough.

I don't know, you start talking about the square base game and all conversation on this topic stops...
I am sure that there is a lesson to be learned here for everyone

i also have duty again on the next meet ( i think)
so my availability for games if cut in half.
so hugh feel free to jump in on the square bases and i will shove around some round ones. or a boardgame. or stick some more stuff together?
