The general sits with the black orcs (6x6) for ld9 bubble
The bsb and goblin mage bunker in the bowmen
the 2+ flaming wards are so i can jump them out and be safe from fireballs and flaming cannons
Savages run 7x3 and act like a glass hammer
i think the rest is pretty self explanatory

2 level 4's means you won't really have enough power dice to cast all the stuff you have bought.
Remember on average you get 7 dice so can cast say 3 spells. Means you are wasting 5 spells.
Also Night Goblin great shaman has a tendency to blow up and then can't cast anything else.
I'd swap to a Goblin Great Shaman.
Runefang
I think dual level 4's is great, it's all about having the right tool at the right time, and with nearly 2 full lores you achieve this. Your also needing less dice to cast spells when you have +4 to cast instead of +2.

The rest of the list looks good too, however I think Black Orcs are balls for what you pay for them.

I would consider dropping them and a rock lobber (to bring down your Rare points) and take a naked Arachnarok and some fighty Orc Bosses (esspecially 1 black orc boss to make sure you always get your magic phase).

Thanks for the replies guys, im gonna stick with the double level 4 for a bit and see how it goes. As runefang said, its all about having the right spell at the right time. With the extra mushroom dice, i should be able to spam multiple low level spells, and should he roll the 1, i have the orc lore to fall back on.

As for the rest of the list, i know black orcs are a huge points sink, but i think they perform a few key roles here. They can carry the magic banner, giving me ld 9, at the same time quelling animosity for the lv4. and I find them really reliable with ITP and choice of weapons

Im not as convinced with the savages tho. They really need to be bigger but i don't have the models. also no shrunken head :/

And i don't own a spider, so thats not an option

Thanks for the input so far

I like my black orcs, normally take 20 or 30 with flamming banner and Orc shaman....always done fine for me.

I personally aren't a fan of double level 4s....night shaman level 2s with free power dice is a great way to get enemy dispel dice out early.

I'd drop the 2 single trolls though, pair of spear chukkas are cheaper and I find do 70pts damage every game and most the time more so.

I'd put one fanatic in the other unit night goblins.

Should get an arachnarok, those things are super green armata_PDT_36.gif

It's hard for opponents to choose to fire between the mangers and the spider.
