In short, I started (and basically finished) painting the new Assault Terminators for the shops Black Templar army

Pretty happy with them, I personally hate extreme highlighting (it feels dirty) but its one of the most effective ways of painting black, please note that the bases are not finished.

The other problem with extreme highlighting is that its time consuming, each figure took about 1.5hrs to finish, which for me is very slow to this standard of painting (waits for the cursing to begin wink.gif)

Enjoy

Whoa 1.5 hours each? thats yonks!

I dislike the extreme highlighting too, but i guess its best for a store environment, as they look better from far away tongue.gif
Regardless, theyre still a nice squad, the white faces are cool.

I don't batch paint, and paint each model as a character smile.gif

WOW, you think 1.5 hours per model is heaps? Damn.... I spent 7 hours just on my ethereal

Not to mention the warp spiders I been working on so far.....12 models unfinished and I've so far spent 18 hours on them....should be finished tomorrow after another days work....

1.5 hours is awsome time for such high qual models, if you guys are familiar with troy forester nsw manager of several stores takes 4-5 hours per a marine :-o but everything he paints is insanely good.

Anyways keep up the good work man id love to see the finished product of the full army when its done. tongue.gif

Very Nice. As to extreme highlighting I am not a fan, but those models look very nice, also another point, I hate highlighting black with grey but that is my personal preference, I prefer a nice dark blue.

Must......resist.....doing.......BT........army.

It is just soo tempting

Cheers

nice work mate, they look the bomb.
theshufflingzombie
nice stuff there!

id say 1.5 hours per terminator is about average-it takes most people a little over an hour to paint a marine and a terminator is signifigantly larger (and more complicated)

My Black Templars command squad got 2-4 hours each on conversion. Then the painting started! :-P
