WAACYbowl will be run on Saturday the 28th of July 2012 at Geelong Good Games at Level 1 28 Malop Street Geelong.

Geelong is approximately 55 minutes drive from Melbourne CBD

Avalon Airport (With direct flights to Sydney and Brisbane with Jetstar) 20 minutes away from the CBD.

4 games will be played with strict 2 hours and 15 minute game time...in order to fit 4 games into a single day with reasonable time for travellers to get home.

Cost will be $20 per player.

Prizes for Champion, Runner Up, Third, Best Sports, Best Painted, Most Casualties, Most TD's, Encouragement Award and a Lucky Door Prize (Only non award winners will be eligible), and pending numbers other spot prizes.

NAF sanctioning has been requested for WAACYbowl 2012.

All LRB6 teams welcome including Underworld, Chaos Pact and Slaan.

Ruleset will be the same as Southern Shrikebowl 2012, 1.15 million teams with choice of skill pack and Resurrection format.

Details to follow in players pack (hopefully released in the next few weeks.

Post Tournament Dinner will be held at La Porchettas which is across the road from Geelong Good Games.

WAACYbowl past players, new players are welcome, but as mentioned timed games will be in effect, with strict 2 hour 15 minute game time.

Encouragement to Paint your teams as all tie breakers will be split by painted teams first.

Also Unpainted teams will award all opponents with a free team reroll each half.

It means you can spend 1.15 mill on your team including inducements but not skills and not cards. As per SSB also no wizards.

Resurrection format: means your team resets after each round. So doesn't earn SSPs to get better, but also replaces all injured etc players as well. Makes the tournie a more even playing field (reduces luck factor) and Admin work much easier.

The you get to add a skill pack 'on top'. These skills/ STATs are limited to one upgrade per player.

1: 7 normal skills
2: 2 doubles and 4 normal skills
3: 1 double, 1 AV or 1 MV, and 4 normal skills
4: 1 AG and 4 normal skills
5: 1 ST and 4 normal skills
etc

I'd imagine more detailed description will be in the players pack.

I take it the skill pack is a total set of skills available to your team, and you distribute them as you please?

Yep so you build your team with 1.15 mil, including inducements (except cards, and wizards), then apply the skill set on top of your roster (free) but no more than 1 skill can be allocated to a player.

Painted teams highly encouraged this year! As a result any team which doesn't have the minimum 3 colours and based appropriately will give a Free Team Reroll to the opposing coach for use in your game.

Its a tough 4 game day with strict 2 hour 15min games to allow for a reasonable finish time.

As players pre-reg I will place here and after all team rosters have been submitted (July 14th cut off date) I will post a breakdown of teams.

Ok with a little over 4 weeks until pre-registration cut off date, and team lists to be submitted, we are still well down on anticipated pre-payments.

We have a stack of prizes, generously sponsored by Gaspez Arts and Willy miniatures, 4 teams, plus a stack of single miniatures and Big guys. Plus some awesome support from NAF which gives you the chance to grab one of those awesome KR Multicases for your team.

Ok, if there is anyone you know or you yourself are thinking of coming to WAACYbowl, please send me a list. waacybowl(at)gmail(dot)com.

I would like to release the Racial breakdown by Wednesday, to give everyone a look at who they are likely to face, and it wouldn't be fair for "on the day" ring ins to get a geezer at the races and then tailor their list.

So if you've got someone who thinking about it, and or your thinking about it, send me a list smile.gif
