Hey guys,

I have a large Sisters army, all bare metal. I've been adding to the collection here and there for a long time. I'm starting to think I'm never going to paint it, I just dunno if I have a passion for this army anymore.

I don't currently play 40K and haven't since 2nd edition. I'm looking to get back into with 6th. Is there much popularity for the girls anymore? Would people be keen if I decided to sell it or would it be just crickets if I put it up for sale. I guess that's the impetus for me - if there's someone who really wants it, I'd be happy for it to go to a good home to someone who will enjoy it. Otherwise, if there's a real lack of interest in these guys at the moment, I might keep it in the "pending" pile smile.gif

Cheers for your responses/thoughts.

One of the problems with the SoB are that they were released as a white dwarf codex...So no new models etc. They are quite rare to come across but there are still the avid supporters of the girls...I for one think that they are one of the cooler armies. Whether you keep them and see how they are as an army in 6th edition or sell the minis off is completely up to you!!!

Hope i could help

Chuck it up for a price YOU would be willing to take for them. People will bite, or not. If it's a price you're comfortable with, then there is no harm in seeing.

I can tell you from experience (as a complete-army-buyer) that bare metal will be more likely to go in dribs & drabs as opposed to a single lot.

My thoughts on this, as a prospective SoB player;

I collected just about an armies worth, then heard the rumours that new plastics were coming, along with a new codex. I sold off nealry all of the basic troops and a few specials as I knew I would cry if beautiful new plastics like the Dark Eldar came out, and I still had the hard-to-convert static posed metals.

Then we got no models and the WD fail of a dex.

The army is on indefinite hold. I have sold a few more of the metals, keeping all the plastic vehicle parts and most of the special/heavy weapons I will need. I am meantime going on with my new Orks (loads of converting there biggrin.gif) and will wait til I get a new Codex and plastics.

I don't know how long that will be. I still hold a very slim hope that SoB will be in the 6th ed box (can't blame a guy for dreamin... tongue.gif)

Like Apollo said, put them up for a good price, try a high reserve on Evilbay, but if you don't get what you think they are worth just hang on to them. I would worry that the eventual (I hope!) plastics will devalue the metals, which is another reason I sold off most of mine, for more than much of it cost me too.

Plastic sister boxes *happy dreams*

I can say with your sisters if that if you do decide to sell, i wouldn't expect anyone to grab them all at once, maybe on ebay but people who have armies only really get certain models to add to their force, meltaguns for example are heavily wanted by sisters collectors (myself included lol) where as things like flamers/storm bolters aren't.

Cheers guys. I'm thinking I might hang on to them for now. I like having em around smile.gif

Sisters are one of the best armies about. full of variety and a certain level of generalship is needed to play them. they are a very rewarding and fun army to play and very unique

Sisters are the next army I am doing up when I finish my Space Wolves.

Seriously underrated.
