Jester of Death
hey all

i noticed last night while reading some of the mission stuff, that you roll for reserves on turn 2, on a 3+ they come on, if not on turn 3 they come on with a roll of 3+ and auto on turn 4.

do we think the turn 3 roll of 3+ should be a 2+? or is reserves not escalatingly easier to get till turn 4 auto?

Mmm interesting. I don't think there is a clear answer. It could be a typo, but could quite easily be deliberate.
Chaplain_Fortis
Is it inconsistent across the book or is it mentioned everywhere as 3+ on 2, 3+ on 3 and auto on 4?

I imagine that if it's consistent then that's the rule. Otherwise we may as well assume a lot of the other changes are just typos too. AP2 power swords woot.

edit: Had a read. That's definitely the rule. It changed. Why shouldn't it change?

Also I wonder what happened to the rumour about not rolling for specific reserve units...?

Ummmm, you don't roll for specific units? Say you have 5 units in reserve, you roll 5 dice, you get 3 3+, you pick three units to come on.

nope, rolls are still per unit, so A - E are in reserve, roll for A = 3+, B = 3+, C = 1, D = 3+, E = 2, then AB and D come on.

At least according to pg 124 anyway wink.gif

No, it was just a rumour from earlier. Or at least I can't find it in the actual book.

Yeah the 'roll then select unit' was an incorrect rumour.
WitchFinderGeneral
Yep, checked it again, I was reading it wrong.....
