Looks good mate! I thought the Soul Drinkers were a more pink/purple?

Regardless, this scheme looks good, neat and effective :-D

Maybe some more gold on other areas other than just the chapter symbol?

Cheers,

Nice. Are you going to build-up a Sarpedon model? I've always thought that would be a cool modelling project.

It looks really nice, but for some reason, I don't think the Chainsword is working with that colour red. - Clashes (in a bad way) with the rest of the model...
Jester of Death
the normal marines have bone trim whilst the characters will have gold trim, setting them above the rank and file.

i wont be making a sarpedon model as im basing the army before the books, though id love to make a sarpedon model, would be awsome.

i think the chainsword stands out in the pics because they are pics and my photogrophy skills aren't the best.

If that's going to be the standards of your new army, it's going to look really swish.

Just a couple of small critiques, some very visible flash on the BP and though the muted highlight on the purple looks nice, another edge highlight of a lighter shade in the uppermost areas would really make this baby 'pop'.

What are your intentions for basing?
Jester of Death
mould lines, not my fault, i didnt assemble the model.
basing, im thinking browny gravel/sand with snow. kinda like my dready in my soul drinker army diary.
the highlights are pretty plain but i plan on having over 100 of these guys so im not too keen on going ovaboard. characters will get more attention.

I'd like to see the red a bit deeper, but other than that im really pleased with it.

I'll jump onto the "not in favour of the red chainsword" bandwagon. I've never thought red works well with purple, so unless you want to give it a light was with purple ink, just to bend the red towards a crimson colour, then it needs to be either black or bone. The bone casing on the chainsword might look good if you did the bolter casing fully in bone.

Apart from that, an excellent tabletop standard model. Well done tongue.gif

I've seen this in person, the chainsword looks crap in the photos but better in person.

I dont mind the red chainsword, but perhaps an orange would look better, being a complementary colour and all tongue.gif

i done the bolt pistol casing and the chainsword similar to what is on the cover of one of the novels.
