So what are the armies that if you see one more of you will scream?
What would you love to see just for a change?
Davros
At the moment i've had enough of Wolves and Necrons.

Wolves are just anoying to me and make me cry a little on the inside.
And Necron because they seem to be running the same sort of ######, i want more tomb blades damn it (and flayed ones for the lols).

Would love to see more sisters, eldar and more slenesh armies
Gorechilds Protege
180 termagants, no Tervigons, old school horde Nids would be cool to see for a change! tongue.gif

Bring on 3x3 Devourer Carnifex broods.

I'm over anything SM.

Want to see IG with nothing but infantry.

I do this to my mate and he nearly cried. possibly cause i abused the new LoS rolls with my prime and also put the power on them that gives FnP and Will not die. So funny. Also for some reason his fliers didn't like the 36 TL shots at them
the chad
I'm also sick of 'Crons. Or at least the same ol' lists for them.

I'd prefer to see more Tau and particularly, MORE KROOT!!

That's right it's all about quantity over quality. Marines are for people who care if their troops die.

I am always sick of space marines(any variant). Necrons are getting on my nerves as well. Need to build my evil elves army as quickly as possible. They look awesomesauce!!! cool.gif
Stumphy
I am currently building a Necron army, heavily converted, although by the time it's done they probably won't be so popular which will be good.

My main two armies are less common forces

100% foot IG
100 % mono nurgle

Iron_Adam
Lol, cry cry, I want to see less of the stuff that beats me, and more of the stuff I can beat.

ive never played white scars that would be good!

and i would be happy to never play grey knights again.
Marshal_Loss
I only just started Necrons. sad.gif

Honestly though anything other than Grey Knights or a list with tons of fliers suits me just fine

Just wondering how many of you play the fluffy non SM/necron armies?

Tau, Chaos, Daemons, Eldar, Orcs, Sisters, Nids?

At JD I was lucky enough to play eldar, sisters and thousand sons all in the one tourney, so pretty good spread of themey fluffy armies there.

I don't think that's how it was meant. But it's not too far wrong either to be honest. Although I have seen "fluffy" awesome marines and "fluffy" power marines. But you'll get that with any race.

I have
- Pure Tzeentch and Slaanesh Daemons
- All foot slogging orks (150 models Min)
- Full Kroot Mercs
- Imperial Guard with Rough Riders, Armoured Sentinels, Ogryn, Primarus Psyker and not a single Hydra or Valk/Detta.

I do also have Vanilla Marines /Templars and Necrons. But these are both from as far back as 3rd ed.

I'd say I'm a bit of an "Anti-Band Wagon" junkie, It just always turns me off those armies. Not sure why, just does.

Playing against you with something other than Crons will be a refreshing change. Unfortunately I only have SM armies at the moment, so I can't run anything too different. Would be nice to try something new though.
Dono1979
Tyrant's Legion is a hella fun army to play, and considering I have been stomped every time I play it, I am guessing it is reasonably fun to play against, both parties win!!

Chaos Space Marines are not Space Marines?

The two completed armies on my shelf near my computer are Word Bearers and Death Guard... But I'm working on Wolves now... Interested to see what happens with the next CSM book... Might get me into building a Slannesh build or finally doing my Relictors project...

Much the same..
I have DE and DG..
My Slannesh Beach Boys have been in traction for a couple of years now. Still have to get them finished but am working on my Warmahordes right now.

Maybe Christmas I'll spend the $300 I should and buy a Big Bug list. 6 Tervigons, 6 carnies, 2 tyrants and 6 TGuard..
Next year I'll put the $700 down to make a DKK guard army.
ArchonCryx
I tend to be a sucker for Xenos armies and despite my best mate playing Necrons I haven't got sick of them at all, especially not with the new dex (even if it does mean he now beats me on occasion!)

Personally I'm pretty happy to fasce most things.

Still, like most folk, I really like seeing an unusual army - although I still think it's possible to build an unusual marine army if you try (or unusual enough to be interesting, at least)

In the spirit of provioding interesting opposition I like to run a variety of armies, obviously especially the DE< but also Eldar, Dark Angels, Mechanicus, I even once had a Sisters army...

It's funny. Everyone (including me) eems to suggest that 6th edition is really bad news for the Tyranids.

So, of course, the army I'm building for our club paint challenge is Tyranids! Even worse, atm I seem to be building a swarm without any Hive Guard or Zoe's. Just Gaunts, Gants, Tervigons and a Trygon... I'm going to be able to test my "more bodies than bullets" theory of playing Tyranids - I've always liked the look of a swarm of them sweeping across the table!

That should be an interesting army for folks to face. At least, I hope they'll feel that way!

Depends on the build (and the new dex will make a difference). Played a pre-heresy thousand sons army and it was really different from playing normal marines, even if they looked the same.

Also depends on whether its just the 3+ save that people are sick of.
Davros
Well for me personally i have nids, tau, DE and DA. That is in the order that i collected them. I use all quite regularly with the exeption of my tau, but with 6th here i'm trying to make them work in a way that i'm happy with. Sadly the only way i can do that is with FW stuff for more markerlight goodness (i like those lights soo much).

My angels is pure ravenwing, although i did just get some termies to be deathwing but not as troops.
My nids are mainly Nidzila, having alot of success in 6th, but about to try a pod heavy warrior list (i might have a problem in my head)
And my DE, was a wych/heamy coven with grots (the best unit of all time) 1 rav because my other heavys are taken up with pain engines and good old wwp are the shiz (trying with limited success to make this work in 6th).

I find that these fluffy armies work quite well, or have done 6th has forced some changes on me.
ooze
I'm actually selling off all my Chaos & SM bits right now, and focusing on Xenos from here on. Eldar are first on the list, then Orcs. And Tau are looking very likely after that.

I get enough of playing everything remotely human IRL.
s1viter0
Tau and DE here.

For the Tau I am running a full farsight list, no kroot or vespid allowed. ever. Trying to set up a full cadre for them, so it will look like

Farsight +7 body guards
9 crisis suits
1 Stealth Team
72 FW
8 Path finders
5 Pirahnas
7 Devilfish
1 Hammerhead
1 Skyray
3 Broadsides (have 6 already for fun and flexibility)

or something like this.

DE is a hellion heavy fast attack list using the Baron. I have been lucky in a lot of respects that i haven't had to play marines all that often. is good.

I have everything except for sisters. But bored to tears playing with marines, deldar, crons and guard. So at the moment playing with deathguard, then pulling out nids and tau from the cupboardin a couple of months.
Nightlords101
armata_PDT_14.gif

Night lords ( building some marine stuff that chaos cant have so they are Night lords)
Word Bearers + ( all of the annointed in a host = 182 termis underway)
Nids
Saim hain Eldar
Armaggedon ork Hunters Guard
CityFight Tau
White scars
Storm Giants ( marines with little WOW stuff)
Raven Guard ( lotsa assault marines so slightly diff )

Unless you have the full 180 gaunts/gants as troops then you don't deserve to call your army a swarm. I'd be happy if you had 3 Tervigons and one as a Troops choice but only if you also had at least 30 gargoyles to make up for the lost numbers. At least 200 bodies on the field before any additional ones appear is where a swarm starts to look cool. If I owned a couple tervigons, I'd show you how it's done! tongue.gif
WarCommissar1
I always ran my hydra in 5th anyway, (for the haters) 2 twin autocannons and a heavy bolter, were good for the points cost (nid munchers).
Master Aarott
For gimmicky, I play lictors.
They go only slightly better than you would expect.

Ummm, are you sure you want to inflict that on my opponents? I mean, you know me, not always the fastest player in the room.... I might not survive people's impatience!

I reckon anything over 140 models at 1750 is enough to be reckoned swarm, at least a partial swarm.... so there! tongue.gif

Just started 40k. Going Orks. Guess they aren't in vogue, which is good I guess?
Gop
Every 2nd dude grumbles about marines but they often play them. Maybe because they are good smile.gif A lot of armies seem to have been boned by the 6th ed. rules and people are still trying to figure out if their existing armies are viable.

I'm waiting for the new chaos codex to see if my Death guard are worth getting out of the cupboard. Until then I'll have to play space wolves, draigowing (doesn't seem viable) or Mechdar if I can get off my arse and finishe them.

I just want to play against people who wont spend the entire game complaining that they have played against someone using the same codex as me sometime in the past month.

I like my grey knights and Crons. Get over it.
