The 3rd game I played against the serpent army, was a good game, I was tring to get as much of it dead before the ineviable defeat. Ok, so, it wasnt a fantastic game, it wasnt a crap one either. I accually rated it above average, the game that is, not the army.

My army is a very one dimentional force, rush forwards shoot abit then crush them in my claws. And as I said over the period of the con, I am bored of them. An interesting idea, abit of fun, but bloody predictable. AND it was BAILS who wanted me to bring them in the first place!

One thing which once again shines out, even with a slightly above average battle points score, I still finished 4th overall! That means, my comp, sports and painting, are way above average, even with that army!

Look, its so good, the great one, Hilly has used my army as inspiration for his own bug force!

Guys, there is no greater compliment!

Hilly is my Padawan, thats right guys, I am his master!

And I even like what he did with the list! Inspiration, but not a straight copy!

So to sum up, I had 5 great games! 1 crap table (and thats Bails fault! ) and a heap of fun!

Bails, dispite that table affair, you ran a smooth tourie! I will be back next year!

BUT NO BUGS!

A pity the epic struggle didn't occur, seeing 16 Monstrous Creatures with the dozens of littlies on the same table would definitely be one hell of a 40K moment!

Hilly's army is really very different, no real Xeroxing at all. Some bright spark had mentioned that one could practically throw darts at the Codex and come up with a playable Tyranid army. Therefore there's really very little reason at all for copying someone's army completely. And no one has copyright on an interesting compositional idea (eg Godzilla nids)....

I look forward to facing Hilly's version, I am sure it will play very differently!

David do you know the difference between "won" and "awarded"

as you said in your post, you have (apparently) "won" a best sport, but were not awarded it due to the tournies decision.

similarly, i "won" solarian medal 1st at KF and Brad "won" 2nd, but you were "awarded" one of the placings, despite not even being in the top 3.

Lampy was "awarded" the best at brisbane 05, but did not do better overall than at least 2 kiwis, Jason Isaac "won" overall, with the highest total score, but was not "awarded" the trophy due to some strangeness of the TO's.

you could come over to NZ, but it might be best if you won a tournie in OZ that had a kiwi at it first, before you try your luck here.

Congrats to Lampy, you should definately come over, i would be keen to give your chaos boys a run.
