here we go, the sisters again....
canoness with jump pack, inferno pistol, blessed weapon, cloak of improbable save and copy 1 of the Book of St Lucius
palantine with inferno pistol and pw, litany of faith, copy 2 of the book
9 celestians, vet ss with eviscerator, flamer and HF in rhino with extra armour and smoke
sisters squad 13 strong, vss with evisc, melta and flamer
sisters squad 13 strong, vss with pw and Brazier (I love saying that word, all wrong), HF and melta
sisters squad 15 strong, vss with pw, melta and flamer
8 seraphim, vet ss with pw, brazier and copy 3 of the book, two with hand flamers
6 dominions, vet ss with evisc and copy 4 of the book, 3 meltas in immy with twin HF, smoke and armour
big change from my previous lists.....dropped a rhino and the MM immy, dropped the priest and arcos, added the palantine, took some toys...this is now a genuine all sisters list, with no testosterone inhibited priest to foul things up.
My big fear is failing morale tests, hence the book of StL copyright issue. On the down side, ranged firepower is zero, nothing more than a bolter out to 24", anti tank is a coupla meltas out to 24" if I move up in the immy. I'm hoping for some close up action I guess, where the larger sisters squads and flamers will come into there own. I have faith.....9 points of it, same as my previous list.
the palantine is to join the celestians......she is not there for the fp grab, nor is she disposable.
soooo ? whaddya'll think ?

Good to see you dragging the girls out again

I'm personally not a fan of a PW on any SoB preferring to go all the way with Evis or simply a CCW with an extra SoB on board (I know the points aren't a perfect swap but it's close enough to warrant fiddling).
Otherwise it's an interesting mix.
Lacks an Exo but I know your stance on that. You'll be wanting first turn or it could really hamstring your already soft anti-tank range.
Good luck with it pal.
Cheers

Man, all this girl talk makes me regret selling my SoB's... maybe it'll be on the cards again soon

Stu: List looks good mate, I prefer HF/M or HF/F, but that's purely up to you. For a few more points the Str5 HF helps to get those extra few wounds, I know you're going to be using DG anyway, but still.
I'm like Bishop though, not a big fan of PW's on vets, I prefer evis.
I also prefer to run my Seraphim with 2x twin inferno's instead of the flamers. Faster reach for that anti-tank. Dominions with flamers would be your rhino rush tactic.
But it's your list and run it your way

cheers, thanks so far...
sort of agree with the pw, but I'm thinking on facing guard or lower toughness armies, and using HotE on higher toughness amies, so the pw will come into its own at s5. HotE + DG in hth ?, need the charge to get enough hits I guess......I hate spending 25 points on a non-IC s6 powerfist that doesn't give an extra attack....when marines get a s8 PF for 10 measly points with an extra attack......gaaaargh <thinks instantly of dropping all the eviscerators !>...nah, they definitely have place, just sparingly. Taking three is a big lift ....75 points on three weapons ! that equates to 6 or so sisters......(who then can't do anything !)
If I had a painted exorcist, I'd take it......problem is, it is still in the box.......
yeah, thanks Koji, I have a love hate affair with these girls......tempted to sell 'em once, but I keep coming back to the whole fluff thing. The melta on the dominions is an optimisation really, move immy `12", get to flame with it, jump girls out, shoot out another 12" with meltas, gets me 6" futher range than the ip seraphim combo.....jumping over cover is an advantage here and the twin linked ip, but it is a close call....
the shortfalls in the sisters list are designed to frustrate the life outta me. Sure you can take 1 or 2 exorcists and two squads of seraphim.....that just shouldn't be the only way to play a whole 'dex......
working on the vehicles....looks like the die has been cast !
thanks again, stu

It's funny you should say that Stu,

Well Stu,
After giving the matter the appropriate amount of thought, I'll be taking something really close to this:
Canoness: BP/Blessed Weapon, Cloak of St. A, Book of St. L
20 Sisters: Eviscerator, H/Flamer, Flamer
10 Sisters: Eviscerator, Book of St. L, 2 Meltaguns in a Rhino with XA, Smoke and a Searchlight
6 Zealots: 2 H/Stubbers
6 Zealots: 2 H/Stubbers
As many Zealots/Fanatics with Eviscerators (and possibly a Priest) as I can shoehorn into approx. 240 points
10 Retributors: StormBolter, Auspex, 4x H/Bolters
Exorcist: XA, Dozer Blade
I think it's time for the frothing lunatics to make a return to the gaming table.
Hope we draw each other at some stage.

Stu,
Seriously - your Dominions will be utter poose. You can give them all the Faith Points you like per round but they are still 6 girls with T3 that need to get into 12" range to do anything useful (other than give your opponent VP's).
If you are going down that road then give them Storm Bolters, give the Immolator Heavy Bolters and be done with making them a mini-Retributor squad.
And you need one more Eviscerator in one of your line squads.
Seraphim: Ditch one of the twin flamers for a twin inferno pistol. It was gold for me (well, silver...). Much more flexibility and means you will (probably) kill at least one model to shooting rather than relying on Divine Guidance to do your dirty work. One flamer is more than enough.
Exorcists are overrated. Well, my exorcists are overrated. I can give you advice on assembly etc. but expect to spend at least a week on it - and also expect to get a clip round the ear from your lovely wife for all the blue language that will emanate from your mouth during that time.
In saying that your army is much nicer than that hodge-podge of units Mr Boles has chosen. I mean, really...
Cheers
Hagen
PS: Just so you know now, everyone at the next two tournaments I take the SoB to is going to hate how good my rolls for Divine Guidance are - as the law of averages swings, nay hurtles, back in my favour.

thanks hagen and michael, sorry for the slow reply...
a very different list mjb ? the long range shooting remains and the big sisters block, but the zealots......I can see them being useful for cheap scoring units/bait and if the enemy doesn't watch out, marine killers.....only 5 faith points....I too hope we meet.....
hagen, the dominions...yeah.....I can see that they will be pwned, but they are the only mobile AT I have, 3 meltas should be enough to ensure the target is vapourised.....the bug bear of all sisters lists, the AT problem. Imagine these girls meeting your Liber Guard army ?......
I've stayed clear of the exorcist, been converting up some vehicles to make 'em look a bit better, painting still lets me down so I'm going for the novelty approach.....
hopefully I'll get a practice game in wth the girls before apoc.....otherwise it will be tears....
just got the website fluff up.....

Okay, yes, it's a list. Even a Straylight SoB list (no Exorcist)....

Certainly nothing OTT about it.
I dont understand one thing though... if AT is your big problem why do you keep avoiding SoB's best AT choice? Okay, it's the exorcist. What of their 2nd best choice? It sure as shianola isnt a MM Immy or even a Dominion squad....
The 2nd best (or maybe 3rd best) AT option would have to be a Battle squad with 2 Meltaguns in a Rhino with an Eviscerator wielding VSS, I mean surely.... I have played games without the exorcist and 2 of these squad and found the enemy armour gave me very little concern...
Of course, as Hagen mentions, Seraphim with 2 Twin infernos can be pretty kewl also but, like you, I cant go past the flamers.... MMMM flamy goodness! Personally I feel the 2 flamers come into their own with hit n run, who cares about DG? I wouldnt waste the faith on using DG with Seras ever!
I can see your objections to 3 Eviscerators, but why stop yourself from taking any? 1 or 2 of those will transform your assault ability and give you a reasonable defence vs rampaging Dreads and the like...
I find Dominions are a "for fun" unit, I would advocate another Battle squad (or EXORCIST) in their stead.... And I can never go past flamy Dominions, the look on opponents face when I put down a 5th or 6th flamer template is worth any down fall! WHo needs DG when you can just keep on wounding them? They'll fail their save eventually...
