Gday
I wont do the TH project I was thinking about, no space and no inclination sad.gif
But, having just painted up a Racing Chariot for my mother ( long story ) I thought about doing the Lady of Shallot for Natalie.

I could keep it pretty basic with the terrain etc and may even just have a painte dbackdrop for it but I would really like to try and model the chick in the canoe smile.gif
I am open to any suggestions and advice.
I've never used greenstuff before so that might be a hindrance but should also be fun.

Well for the body:

There's always the old bretonian damsel:

Then again for a slightly smaller scale Galadriel is a lovely figure:

thanks
Is Galdriel plastic do you know?
She looks the easiest for my inexperience to have a go at cutting and greenstuffing to get right.
To be honest, as an Orc I've always had the thought in the back of my mind that I'd like to try Greenstuffing Galdriel.

armata_PDT_14.gif Funny - but - badwrong! LOL!

I'm pretty sure she's metal - usually it's only the troops that are plastics in LoTR.

I really dont see how you could have misinterpreted my desire to paint a colour other than green into a sordid urge to despoil a fair Elf Maiden wink.gif

You could use one of the mounted sorceress's from GW. They ride side saddle so you could have her sitting then its a matter of getting rid of the weapons

Heres a link GW OZ online store

Hope it helps

Galadriel is definitely a metal model.

Pics to come tonight
Started "yesterday".
Sort of wink.gif

Done a bit but have lost some models that i was considering. Was a bit pissed at that but am glad now as i just....... i'll wait til photobucket has uploaded the pics i suppose smile.gif

Pic of the box with some of the paper stuck inside.
Just wanted the backgorund to be baic, when i tried to plan it it all got too complex so i went basic so that it would actually be finished.

The box with some "sky".
Wasnt going to put any sky in there as it seemed like i wouldnt be able to get it to look any good but i'd had some beers and it became a good idea all of a sudden.
Theres also some darker blue paper on the bottom for water.
IPB Image

The border, had to keep it as it needs the extra padding between the .... bits that stick together.

Needed to cut it down a bit so that it doesnt hide too much of the inside.
Will probably paint it, cover it with paper or leave it plain.

Pics of the chick and the canoe.
Canoes almost finished but the chick still has a little bit of hair highlighting to go.
Am starting to think it will be dark in the box so might need to to some pretty light highlights.

Mock up of how it will look sans highlights and border and frame.

If i had a smaller boat i could do the jetty and it would all fit better and loo more similar but as we all know how lazy and crap i am at modelling i am pretty glad that the boats too big wink.gif

Doesnt look exactly right, but, i hope it will do. At least it will be recognisable for what it is meant to be.
