Full Version: BotD table tops...

I have managed to score 4-5-6 table tops from GROTS... That is the max I was able to get

They will be 3 2x4 sections a pop, and am not sure about terrain at this stage...

If any melbourne based players are coming who want to help out with some, that'd be ace...

The other "sticking point" is getting them there... I am working that day and will be catching the train from the city out to Chalet, so I won't be able to get them there... *looks at Badfangs trailer*
Speed Adict
Well what an over-frackin'-whelming response... sad.gif

There are 5 tables at the Chalet all set up and ready to go...

A really big thanks to Simon at GROTS for helping us out with 5 tables wink.gif (not that he has access to this forum to see that mind you...)
Hagen
Is there no-one else out there that can help that poor cripple out? I mean, making him set up 5 tables by himself, dodgy arm and all... shame on you Australia!

Speedy, a big thank you from us.

Cheers

thanks speedy....should I bring some terrain for BotD ?

Big Red
Well....

I would normally have brought along quite a few tables worth but Kane and I will be setting up the Bowls Club before we head up for dinner. It will make Saturday morning a lot smoother to get started.

Speed Adict
Bringing other terrain... hmm... There is plenty of room for more tables if anyone wants to bring another one along...

But I reckon the 5 we have (and the terrain to go with them) will probably do us just fine... It will ensure that there will be games under way for most of the evening, rather than everyone having a game early on and nothing later...
straylight
yeah, that sounds like a great plan speedy, nothing like harassing gamers for a fun evening....biggrin.gif

4 sleeps......this is going to be Huuuuuge...

i bags a later game...

tom has warned me he's driving like my grandma rolleyes.gif
Speed Adict
Sweet, then it's all set then... I'm not sure when I'll be getting there (as I am working aswell...), but that won't stop whoever is there from having a feed and a drink and picking a table and getting a game going wink.gif
Badfang
Does this mean that if i can get there about 930 after work I might be able to crush someone?>
Pete Dunn
Stu,

You and I are an early game.....as are Jack and Alex.

Cheers

Pete
cmdr_roy
Yeah Pete will need a nap later on or he will get cranky, now that i think about it so will Stu.....good idea to get the game done before sunset.

Roy
straylight
early game for me and Pete please....he needs his hot cocoa and sleep.

Yep and with the amount of teeth grinding he did in our game on Sunday he's on soft food as well.

Besides all the NZers will have been up since midnight Australian time.

Oh please KD stop or I am going to start crying armata_PDT_14.gif

Seriously for a moment - with 5 tables we have two rounds, so with requirements for elderly/excitable/youthful types needing rest etc. the games should go as such:

1st Round
Stu Williams v Pete Dunn
Victim X v Jack Dunn
Leigh Avery v Hagen Kerr
Michael Blair v Alan Borthwick
Brad Scott v John Tailby

2nd Round
Michael Cruise v Richard Dagger
Adam Davis v Andrew Johnson
Craig Maloney v Dave Cleverley
Rory Spence v Greg Rae
Jonas Dawson v David Lewy

3rd Round
Mathew O'Shaughnessy vs Jason Isaac - a non-kibbitzing matchup

This is assuming I have got all the Australian dropouts covered.

Ok?

Hi Hagen,

I am giving Kane a hand to set up in springvale, any chance to have my game a bit later unless the first round starts around 7:30 - 8:00 ish

Cheers

I had to look this up:

kibitz

1. (intransitive) To give unwanted advice or make unhelpful or idle comments, especially to someone playing a game.

"Quit kibitzing! You're giving away my hand!"

Jeez Hagen, you know i'm a slow player, the only 3rd round match up.......

Well I guess Matt is a Aussie so that will speed the game up as I'll only need 3 turns to annihilate him armata_PDT_04.gif

Kargan DaemonClaw
Jason, hiding behind hills for the first 2 turns seems to be an effective tactic to speed up play as well.

Killermike, this might make you cry then. After my previous game with Pete, just beofre army lists went in, he went back to his list and made it harder.

Me I just went back and got luckier:-)

Ok Mike,

Your backup is:
Michael Cruise v Richard Dagger

I wonder if Mr M Boles has big enough cojones (nod to Bard) to step up and face Jack™...
