Hello,
A friend and I are going to play AI starting next month. Anyone out there in Brisvegas who plays or is interested in starting to play?
PM me or post your thoughts

Considering it (and will likely end up not committing to it) but I'd like to see a game get played.

Some of the guys at GW Mt Gravatt have AI and you could probably talk them into giving you a game. I have been playing it at The Blind Pig, but we have shut down for the holidays, and will not be back until February.
It is a fun, quick game that you really have to play several turns ahead and that we have been able to have full rules (which are easy to use), models and tables for less that $200.

I'd love to play. I was tempted to buy into it but i had no-one to play with, All i've got is three of the old epic thunderbolts though. It looks like a more complex version of the wizkids crimson skies game.

If you can, come to the next meeting of the Blind Pig.
We should be able to work something out for you.

Wanna give him a game Roy if he is in Brisbane?
I'll ask Mick to bring along Chaos, Meph has Tau, I have Eldar and Renegade Imperial (and BFG and Epic modles substituted for Tyranid), anything else we need to show off what AI is all about?
Even though The GJMWT is on, there will be eight-ish tables available for the various games.

Any AIers out there interested in being part of an interstate campaign?
Details are still being determined, but boils down to the following:
-2 factions
-Each week/fortnight (depending on the campaign results/narrative) each faction will be given an overall strategic objective and missions will relate to that objective
-All missions played will count towards how each faction is progressing (based on size of forces...a 100 point combined duel will affect stuff less than a 600 point all in brawl)
-Players can effectively run one or more forces so you can play on both sides in effect (for those who have more than one airforce)
-A small after action report in a set format will need to be sent to me each week and i'll tally stuff up and set the following week/fortnight missions.
E.g
Week 1: Faction A and B are testing defences of each side
Both factions engage in only CAP or Recon missions
Faction A has most success.
Week 2: Faction A launches bombing raids or troop insertion mission in addition to CAP and recon.
And so on.
Won't be restricted to a total points quantity for your force for the campaign, but you should record victories etc for each pilot if you want to upgrade them.
Really it's just meant to be a way to provide a bit of narrative (in the same vein as the Actung Spitfire thread) to a bunch of separate AI games.
Players can play as many games as they like and drop in and out of the campaign.
I'll set up different combat zones so that different states, or clubs can battle it out in their own engagement area.
If you're interested, post in here or PM me to discuss.
