I bought Aegyptus aeons ago (have a first ed copy...), and a handful of minis, but have never gotten around to actually playing a game. I'm now seeing a few events pop up about the place, so I had a question - just how anal are Aegyptus events about using Croc minis? I have a bunch of minis I could proxy in for some of the units I'd like to field, but really not enough Croc minis to field even the smallest of warbands. No, friendly games nobody's likely to care, but...what about the few tourneys I've seen advertised?

This has already been covered in another topic, but so far in the tournaments I've been to the only restriction has been that if you are fielding a force made up of greater than 75% of non-croc minis then you are not eligible to receive the painting prize, other than that anything goes
I'm not sure about what restrictions sandstorm had regarding this, but I think that it was all ok.

So, given the permissive stance...how do players feel about Tomb Kings models masquerading as Eaters of the Dead? The Tomb Kings plastics seem like a better value alternative for models...

Wouldn't bother me. The army I'm borrowing for MOAB is about equal parts GW, Reaper and Scheike, with a grand total of 2 Croc minis.
Mind you, the Sebeki I'll be running at Cancon will be 99% Croc minis (only some shields & weapons will be ring ins), but then again, are there any better miniatures than the Sebeki in any range (Basti do come close)?
Basically, I like to play against well painted & presented armies being run by people with a sense of fairness and fun. Any other considerations are essentially irrelevant.

If I can organise a list, I'll PM ya. Is there another Games Day before Orkfest?
