http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/cha...tm?cleavedb.jpghttp://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/cha...CSM/default.htmI have just started a chaos army for 40k and want to paint it to a good table top standard or better.I played about 3-4 yrs bak and just didnt have the patience then to do so. lol. My painting knowledge is also limited, i would rather just play the game, but have changed my attitude about this army i want it to look good.
How would u guys suggest to paint the CLEAVED Colour scheme out of the new CSM codex. Wat colours and techniques ect.
Help would b much appreciated
cheers Zac

Oh wow, I see what you mean.
Hm, I guess it's experimentation time. My gut reaction for the pink is Tentacle Pink and Bleached Bone with a touch of a grey to dull it down a litte?

the main colour looks like it is:
White undercoat>Bleached bone> Rotting Flesh with Bleached Bone 1:2 highlight> Elf Flesh with Bleached bone 1:2 highlight/drybrush> Skull white drybrush
the oil / blood:
Green: Dark angels green and green ink
Red: Chestnut ink and scab red
Bolter:
Black>grey highlights
Boltgun metal >black ink > chainmail drybrush/highlight

NEW GW Foundation paint Dheneb Stone would make a good colour for it. Mix in a tiny bit of lich purple for the base coat. Highlight iwth white.

Funny you say that BWS, I was just looking at the pic and siad to my self, that looks very similar to the lightest grey foundation paint GW do. Typhoid, go and have a look at the foundation paint range, they are worth they're weight mate. I've been using a bit of the foundation paints lately and love them to bits.

For what it's worth, probably Astronomicon Grey (Foundation paint) with a touch of purple added for the base. You probably only need one highlight, add a little white.
