Considering that my Typhus conversion seems to be turning into a project in itself, Ive decided to seperate it from my Deathguard log.

The idea behind this conversion was to make a more appropriately sized Typhus model. While I like the current model, its a bit wussy when compared to the new plastic termies, FW conversion kits, etc. Especially considering the fact that Typhus is one of the 'original bad boys' so to speak.

Anyway, Im trying to get a blend of the original model:

So Ill put in what Ive done so far, sequentially as its appeared in original thread!

Armour plating:

So since that Ive done a little more...



Torso has been glued in place, some rivets added to armour plating.



Glued the bottom leg together, done a knee and circle-joint reconstruction... still some work needed on the front I think.



Actually added a forearm! The pointing hand is from the termy sword-holding sarg arm, hollowed out a bit and with finger reconstructed to point.



Started work on the torso detailing. Getting it close to the drawing, not looking forward to doing the belly, it could make or break the model I think...

Pose still isnt 'fixed', but Id like something similar to the top photo of this post I think. It will be a challenge to do the shoulderpads, and Im not sure whether to replicate the drawing type shoulderpad or go for something a bit more sedate.

Id be glad to hear any suggestions that anyone has for this model! I think it will take a while to get all the details done... It will be sad to start selectively destroying it when it comes to 'nurglification'

damn that looks good...wouldnt it be easier to get the FW termie conversion packs?

Oh, ive got them, but they still dont quite do him justice in size, and I want something quite unique...

What are your plans for the belly? A gut plate with pipes sticking out? Ruptured armour with pus & sores oozing out? embossed skull?

Im not sure exactly... maybe something like the drawing, which seems to be exposed belly type thing with a guts-esque opening to spew forth the plague?

How about you go with "Typhus after 12 weeks on Jenny Craig" and make him emaciated with guts coming out? It would be metal....
