For anyone that read my thread about the ongoing campaign I have decided to start the ball rolling...

The Format

This Tournament will be a story driven tournament with each mission having an effect on your path to victory or defeat!

The Tournament once started will take place on sunday afternoons. Each player will play 1 game (pending the interest we may have 2 days)

Each week before your game you will be mailed what is happening and the reason for your armies involvement along with your mission for your up and coming game. I will be giving everyone a fairly generic story plot for their first game and once we get rolling will write the story pending wins/losses/ etc....

Everyones missions will be secret!! So if you have friends that are involved don't tell them what yours is because it may effect things later if you match up! The missions are also designed to promote fun and interesting games! So your objective will more often than not bring you into conflict with your opponents objective!

This will be 1500 points and will be 5th Ed rules. That is partially why the date is a bit in the future so that 5th ed will be out long enough for everyone to be familiar and there will be less growing pains...

Each game and the tournament winner will be solely dependent on mission success, in the event that both players fail the mission VP's will be the decider. Sports/Paint do not play a factor!

However!!! there will be comp component and if the guidelines below are not followed the penalties will range from the list being rejected in sever cases, to something minimal like automatic loss of table edge choice for each game.

35% Troops choices
No more than 25% in HQ/Fast/Elite/Heavy
Max 2 non-transport Vehicles AV 13+
Max 3 non-transport Vehicles with AV12
Max 2 Transport choices
Max 4 MC's

We will also need an even match of Good VS Evil... The Choices are not as important but the alignment is in order for things to work. So if your keen and have the choice please take a look at the below list and try and even up the numbers.

hey mate, is that no more than 25% TOTAL for the HQ/fast/elites/heavy? , so a grand total of 375 total to be spent on the 4 slots? or no more than 375 per slot used? ie 375 for hq, 375 for elite, etc. and is that minimum 35% on troops, or is that a maximum of 35% pts on troops??

you are punishing my guardsmen... max AV 12 or greater?? thats 2 chimeras and a russ in 1500 pts!?

any thoughts on relaxing this slightly? i dont take OTT tank heavy armies, but this is a huge hit...

ok I have changed the comp... see above

with only 375 available for HQ's i only get 1 greater daemon and 2 daemon princes for heavies... thats a pretty hard hit for me aswell as is the tank thing for you (ig player) as thoes are the only things i get that can deal with av 12+ as daemonettes are NOT reliable, nor is the 1 fiend with str 6..

@Flayha - Mate the comp is more than fair, if your spending over 400+ points on HQ & Tank choices thats a prob, normally thats a fairly big no no in any tournament I have ever seen or been in.
Have a look at some of the other tournaments that have been going on lately and you will see that my comp is fairly relaxed.
Most ones I seen go something like this

40% troops (600+ pts)
HQ - no more then 20%(300 or less pts).
Elite - no more then 20%(300 or less pts).
Fast attack - no more then 20%(300 or less pts).
Heavy Support - no more then 20%(300 or less pts).
(This example kindly lifted from lonestar's winnebago)

ive only ben to 1 event here in aus, back home in canada comp wasnt an issue, even at GW head office events. but fair enough, 1 greater it is.

So are you both still keen? flayha and sith?

If so thats 2.... and what are you running flayha daemons?

probably daemons, depending on how i like 5th ed, if i dont like it too much, maybe blood angels or ravenwing or deathwing

can i just bring cash to pay you on day of?
