Ok folks, here's where I have thusfar... and what I am seeking:

Jetbikes... pleanty of them, so no worries there
Warlocks... I am in the process of buying 10 of the same sculpt (Witchblade and Shurken Pistol with skinny waist, great for sawing off at the midsection and pairing up with Jetbike rider legs

I have a couple that i've done already, including a Seer which is a WIP to get right (damn cloak needs moulding so it doesnt just suddenly end where its been cut off). Essentially I have cut off the hand with Witchblade, and the hand with the pistol, using the stress point in the arm to bend it around, fitting a Jetbiker hand on the end to have the Warlock holding onto the Bike with one hand, whilst the other arm is free to be magnetised for a Witchblade or Singing Spear.... thus begins my dilemma.

I am hunting down sufficient looking Witchblades and Singing Spears that both look the part and are cheap, and also at the same scale, without having to hack up another set of models for the parts... so something from a sprue would be ideal...

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance (any other ideas are welcome too!).

Cheers,
Dave

With some brass rod you could easily turn that Witchblade into a singing spear. Elves/Eldar/General pointy-eared pansies are known for excessive speartips, so it's doable.

i mounted my seer on a weapons platform to lead my jet bikes, turned out ok. sort of like a floating platform. its in the eldar army in my sig

also high elf mage box set is a great source of bits.

Borzag, good suggestion there, I may have to work out how to keep the Witchblade from getting too damaged in the removal process and make spears out of them...

Horse, also a good point, although seeing as I have the Jetbikes (an abundance of them it would seem) I am carrying on with the mounted approach smile.gif as I suppose I can put my foot slogger council on platforms at a later date if I wanted to run dual Jet-Seer units. High Elf Mage box set eh? is it a metal kit or plastic? I may have a better chance if its plastic of finding a bits store to buy just those pieces from that are needed as such. Thanks for the responses folks smile.gif

I managed to use a couple of bits I had sitting around from previous warlock conversions that I took the sword off for whatever reason. Otherwise any sword arm that is around would really do the job, just have to greenstuff the arm out to make it look more like a robe. The shining spear exarch arm would be good.

I did two conversions last night using these two warlocks:

And I've used these two in previous conversions.
