Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks for today. Myself, Nikki and Alex all had an absolute blast! Was our first real opportunity to have a decent sized game of 40k. 'Specially thanks to Sean (Shaun? idk spelling haha unsure.gif ) for putting up with our total lack on knowledge and convincingly kicking the crap out of us biggrin.gif
Will definitely see you all next year!!

Cheers,
Anthony.

Always good to see new people, and I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. Sorry we had to put you up against Shaun, normally the person we put the new players up is normally a bit gentler. Might have to encourage him to get something a little softer for when he is playing new player. Hope to see you on the first weekend in February.

Luke.

Was a pleasure. Always nice to grind new victims, I mean introduce new friends gently into the hobby. I had fun too. Just remember, it wasn't that I was hard, it was the four or five extra coaches you had on your side that was your undoing.

Hey Zed, I will take your advice and play something softer next time. maybe some Slaanesh?!?!

Always up for a game guys, just let me know your looking for an opponent. As you saw, everyone is friendly and willing to play.

haha. Seriously we were fine with the difficulty we were facing. Learning curve was steep but fun which was perfect. 'Cept my farseer died too early dry.gif Haha it was funny though. Pretty soon we will be looking for fairly regular games especically post-xmas whe both nikki and alex will have decent siZed armies hopefully in excess of 750pts.
Was definitely fun and we'll be back... just se hopw long you can put up with us biggrin.gif

Thats fine mate. Aim at 750 as a starting lvl then just build up in blocks. No need to go crazy, biggest normal game is 1500 so organise a list targetted at that. Once your core is set then you can expand and give yourself other options. Or do what everyone else ends up doing and run another 2 or 3 armies.

So this softer player you would be talking about Luke is who???? armata_PDT_05.gif could it be me???? Well i'll have you know i was busy at the time getting beatten by a 9 year old. armata_PDT_04.gif who had never played before.... but that dosen't make me a gentler player.

Anthony when the three of you come back next year you can try out my Orks, no one likes to play Plague Marines and only cheesy players use them armata_PDT_11.gif Am looking at you Shuan.

cheers rob.c

Youd be hard pressed to find anything but soft and squishy armies at grots... your all too soft and gentle!

Come over to the dark side... armata_PDT_36.gif
