Howdy guys, I know its pretty damn short notice but I only just joined lol I run the club down here in Mildura and I'd just like to let you guys know we're having a 1800pt Doubles Tournement on the 17th of January. Here are the details:
Desperate times call for....
Only in times of great desperation will the various armies of the 40k universe ally together in battle and one of those times is coming soon.
On January 17 teams of two are invited to compete in the first 40k tournement Mildura has seen for many a year if not ever.
Here are the details:
Teams will consist of two players. Each player must field an army that complies with the force organisation chart (ie. 1 HQ and 2 Troops minimum) however each TEAM has an 1800pt limit, which may be distributed as they see fit between their members.
Prizes will be awarded for the following:
- Most effective team (determined by overall wins, total victory points, team work and strategy)
- Best painted Army (this is for the best painted individual army, NOT team and will be judged on 1 HQ and 2 Troops from the Troop section of the Codex)
and finally The Spirit of Gork and Mork bonus prize, which will be awarded for the most orky thing that happens during the day.
The venue is the Mildura Church of Christ hall, which is situated on the corner of Deakin and 10th, accross the road from the Fisher's IGA carpark.
Tournement kicks off bright and early at 10am and will finish at around 10pm, with a break for lunch and prize giving at the end.
Entry Fees will be $15 a player, and will go towards covering hall costs and prizes.
Interstate entries are encouraged
Teams are asked to RSVP as soon as they can with a team name and what armies theyre taking.
There will be 4 rounds, each going for around 2 - 2.5 hours. The 4 rounds will consist of Anhilation, Seize Ground with 3 objectives, Capture Bob (with bob not coming quietly) and Recon (get to enemy's deployment zone)
