War Has Dawned.
1750pt Warhammer 40k Tournament @ The Outpost
21st March 2009.
STARTS AT 9:30AM YOUR LISTS AND YOU HAVE TO BE THERE BY THAT TIME AS GAMES START AT 9:30AM
20 places available.
COST: $5 per person for the full tournament 3 rounds.
Lets be quick and simple about this.
1750pts, 5th edition rules, legal or get out.
There will be 3 games with 3 different objectives/missions.
You MUST take at least 1 HQ and 2 Troops.
Armies from eye of terror are accepted.
Tank companies, accepted yet frowned upon, but what do you care you’ve got a crap ton of tanks.
Notes about HQ’s: your characters may not spend any more than 100pts on wargear and all must be legal.
Your army lists:
On the day you are to have 2 copies of your army list, actually completed not scribbled and rushed on the day, preferred typed. (1 for our staff, 1 for your opponents.)
Sportsmanship:
Im taking this chance to remind you that Tournaments at the outpost are not a life and death situation which leads you to needing to win at all costs.
You and your opponent will not have fun if you be a little sod, cheat, lie or even just generally arrogant because something hasn’t gone your way, if you don’t like it and don’t want to have fun, please by all means don’t come.
Scoring:
the method our staff will use on the day for the tournament score checking and keeping, will be like this -
if you win the game (determined by objective) you will get 3pts
if you draw a game (objective tied) you will get 1pt
If you lose a game, you will get 0pts
At the end of each game YOU are to tally up the amount of points of your opponents list you killed, an exact amount, these figures will be checked and anyone cheating will be booted out of the tournament.
You will also be marked by your opponent for sportsmanship as well as painting.
Our reasons for taking victory points (not kill points) because they become very handy when working out tied leaders and places.
Kill points simply don’t do justice.
Prizes are determined during the tournament once final turn out is decided and at which point we will determine the prizes and size of the prizes, if anyone asks “what’s the prizes” watch out. (if we can get a big turn out of max players, we will be cheering with big prizes.)
You have over 3 weeks to get your things together.
I highly suggest you get your armies painted, because you’ll better your chances of gaining prizes. And lets face it, painted models always play better.
If you have any more questions I would be happy to answer them here.
