Hmm just got a 'failed to create dump file error' after the angel gate mission. Still, it saved my progress so no harm done.

Tenabrae, you tried the co-op campaign yet? How does it go? One person gets a couple of squads and the other the remainder? Might be handy as a I find the micromanagement of so many traits a bit fiddly. My computer gaming skills have dropped way off it seems.

I haven't but i'm interested in trying it, i'm a big fan of co-op gaming. Kordos tried some with a mate in the same room, you can see his comments http://www.wargamerau.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=68007

It's definitely more arcadey than RTSey, the micro is key to victory.

You basically set the trap yourself, and then walked into it...

So, i finished the campaign. It's good. Not the 9/10 IGN gave the game. It kept my interest but the repetitiveness really nails its replayability. Multiplayer has promise and replaying the campaign with a mate in coop would certainly be a good thing.

So, anyone, feel free to add me on Live;

Alleth or chrisuk2k2@hotmail.com depending on what the friend thingo needs.

At risk of a spoiler... how many "Days" did you take to finish it? I am at about Day 18... It is repetitive... Am losing interest... (maybe coz I suk at it) so just wanted an idea.

Cheers.

You can pretty much just blast through the campaign if you want... just start doing only the story missions and you'll be done in no time.

I have it.

I agree that if you just do the core missions and not all the side ones you can get through it quickly. Your captain will be lv 14-15 odd when you finish.

It's very disappointing that you can only do the campaign as oomies. It would be great if the other three races in the game had campaigns also.

My view of it is that the campaign is just to teach you the game, and it's all geared around the online & multi player.

Multi player is fun, but a very limited number of maps & mission types, it does not take too long to tire of as well.

Steam & Windows Live really put a damper on proceedings as they are both interfering and annoying programs. I will think twice before buying another game with their logo on the box.

Overall I think the game is good, graphics & game play are awesome, and tactically it is solid, but there is not enough variety to keep you there beyond a few weeks of play time. It sits somewhere between a RTS and a RPG. I'd give it about 8/10.

OT but Steam (and DRM services like it) are the future baby.
