Well it is my 5th attempt on creating a wood elf army, I seem to have a habbit of rushing stuff right before a tournament, so this time I got someone to paint an army for me so I have all the time in the world to finish this army.
As well as a wood elf army I'm also looking at doing a 'forest spirit army' just for fun.
Here's the list of models to paint
Spellweaver
Spellsinger
Wardancer noble
30 glade guard
24 dryads - 16 done
5 glade riders
18 wardancers
12 wild riders - 6 painted looking for foliage
3 warhawks
treewoman - painted looking for foliage
5 waywatchers
Haven't decided what to add for the forest spirit army yet, will add that later.
Pics will come soon.....

Look forward to smashing them.

Nice!
Great painting and really nice basing.
Excellent job on the Treewoman!
The eyes (only) look a little bit strange though. I'm not sure if it's the slit pupils or the the yellow that 'flags' me as odd.
I think it's the slits.
Whatever, worth the wait, cheers.

luv the models, although like already said i think the eyes on the treewoman would look better with white instead of yellow, because the model is in a gentle pose and yellow eyes can look evil but white would soften it up a bit.
but i could be wrong and be talking nonsence.

Personally i wouldn't have given it eyes as in fleshy squishy eyeballs things - i'd just leave the (disturbing) likeness and make them bark-like like the rest of the model. Growing eyes (and presumably a tongue and lungs and a willy or jinytime) is too Hollywood for me, i think themewise Treepeople are best as a kind of (arthouse) anthropomorphic possession rather than a stylised Hollywood mutation.
Anyway, i love it, it's just the eyes that alone that i would alter but that's just me and MO.
[Edit] - can't resist: I got a woody for that hot ass!

Thanks for the comments guys..
I wanted an evilish look and I have used yellow eyes on my dryads...
dunno whether to change the eyes or not, if I did I'd do a flat earthy colour with no pupils.
I got a good start on my wild riders today...

Well it's been a while without an update.. The wild riders are taking longer than expected, however I have a few WIP shots, I will take better shots when they are done..

Obviously there are more wild riders, I have another 3 WIP.
Better pics to come

Wow your bases are amazing.
How do you find them for gaming practicallity? Are you able to get them ranking up easilly or does it end up taking more effort?

I think this army takes "scenic basing" to a WHOLE new level
Really nice work: was the treewoman a bought and converted miniature or was it completely scratch built? I really like it to be honest: very "otherworldly" yet still clearly humanoid....a really cool effect.

thanks guys, I can't take credit for the bases or the treewoman.
The bases seem to rank fine, being a wood elf army there aren't too many ranked units anyway...
The bases are from

Wow.... For a non Fantasy player this is the first lot of models that have really piqued my interest.
Love the tree woman. That's an awesome model with a superb paint job.
Great work.

Very nice.
In the middle of assembling a wood elf army myself, and was thinking something similar (maybe even centaur-like) for the wild-riders. From the pics it appears that you have the rider holding a spear - which spears have you used, and how did you find matching it to the dryad?
Cheers

getting the dryads to sit on the steeds was the hardest bit... spears look fine they come from the glade rider kit.

've been considering the tree woman, looks v.nice might have to add a second to my army
not sold on the wildriders, maybe convert some up as centaurs using skeletal steeds and dryads? theres just somthing about the dryad not being linked to the ground that erks me. i'm a bit of a fussy ass about that though, so ignor this paragraph.
what scheme are you using for your bark?

or the treewoman?

Jimbo81, really!
This is a lovely army, you've put a lot of work into making what could be quite bland models really stand out! The wild riders are looking good, a bit of photo-cropping wouldn't go astray there though!

The bases are a great touch, and you've picked out the details on the dryads and treewoman very nicely. Good work, keep it up!

The model is a gamezone wind rider which sits that way and the base is a micro arts studio resin base.
Just so happened the fitted together quite nicely.
Thanks for the comments guys

I really like the dive bombing hawk. It has really nice motion.
They will look much better if u look at them in natural light. The dim room lighting doesnt do any model justice,
