I'm thinking of signing up to this once I can confirm that weekend is free, but in the meantime, I do have one particular issue with the players pack:

QUOTE
ARMY COMPOSITION:
The tournament theme is for survival in a dangerous environment, see the lava terrain
rule, so it is expected that there will be an abundance of vehicles, particularly transports.
The standard Force Organisation Chart still applies, however there must be a minimum
of 9 Kill points in the list. An automate composition system will be used and players
must submit there lists using the spreadsheet form that can be downloaded. Details will
be released in the Missions Pack

Players with non-compliant lists will not be registered

It's probably not what you're implying, but it's just that the wording here comes across to me as "if you don't have a bunch of transports and tanks, your list doesn't comply with the rules, therefore will be rejected" (as in this case, it seems you want armies themed around infantry mounted in transports)

I grew extremely bored of running mechanized lists a few years ago. Ironically enough, since 5th ed came out, 90% of armies I come across are mechanized.

My Eldar army is about the only one that can currently reach 2000 points and is fully painted. It's mostly infantry (rangers, scorpions, warp spiders), with a couple of war walkers being the only 'vehicles'.

All of my other armies that could reach 2000 points are undergoing the slow process of having their paint stripped - now that I feel my painting and modeling skills are on a good enough level, I'm redoing most of my older armies.

So, I take it you'd have no problems if I bought along my infantry Eldar force, even though it isn't a mechanized force?

Hi Mate,

Infantry armies are very welcome. I was just trying to ensure people realise how tough it will be for straight infantry to cross lava flows. However, there will only be a couple of lava flows per table, so you can go around it or jump over ala warp spiders, and there will be some crossing points armata_PDT_01.gif .

Looking forward to seeing you in the tourny.
