In this months White Dwarf at the end of the Legion Of the Damned story/section there is a little blurb stating there will be 6 more Legion of the Damned models released next month in White Dwarf.

First i thought it was just they stuffed up and meant to release the box set this month and the blister packs next month but upon comparing the picture of the model next to the blurb to all the released model it is indeed a new marine armed with a bolter

So has any heard what the new releases will be more heavy/special weapons ones obvisouly a bolter armed marine as seen in the mag but there are already enough bolter weilding marines to fill a squad

there's a new legion sgt model coming out in feb armed with a sword, there might be more but not sure

Saw the 5 man box models for real last night - 100% metal. A little disappointing vs the greens from Games Day (which were seriously cool) but still very nice. The Sarge from the box would make a very nice Chaplain too.

i thought it was a chaplin when i first saw it. gona convert mine to be a dark apostle for word bearers

really although its nice to have a variety of models i woulda thought they were gonna release different weapon options ie heavy bolter, meltagun, lascannon ect but still excited cant wait to see the new models as the new ones are pretty cool and i will be adding them to my space marines even if i have to use them as a run of the mill tactical squad from the Damned Lewgion Chapter

There are infact a few heavy weapon damned models if you check the gamesworkshop website, there is a multimelta and heavy flmaer if i remember correctly.

Two =/= few. And we're talking about the six new Legion of the Damned models coming in February.

@dangerousdan73 - You never know, they may bring out even more models... because as you say, there are some oddly glaring omissions in the weapon options.

The heavy weapon models are the new models?

As far as i was aware the white dwarf said there was the box set coming and two new blister packs that had 2 marines in each blister, so i thought it was implying that there was 9 marines total.

As far as I know there are 11 or so total from what I heard ( so you can mix wep options methinks)...

Just thinking out loud because I have the older squad of 10 guys new, then found out about the new minis and was considering (another) LOTD count-as vanilla marines. I've never seen LOTD vehicles done well though.

Anyways, just mulling over how to use 20 LOTD minis in a marine army without making it 600 points of elites

No, they're coming out in January, and have been up for Advance Order on the GW site for some time. What we're talking about are the 6 new models coming out in February.


There are 11 different LotD models in the January release, which you can see on the GW site:
Legion of the Damned Squad (five models)
Damned Legionnaire with Heavy Flamer
Damned Legionnaire with Multi-melta
Damned Legionnaires 1 (two Bolter guys)
Damned Legionnaires 2 (two Bolter guys)

Then in February there are another 6 LotD models being released that aren't just the January ones split up:
Damned Sergeant with Bolt Pistol and Power Weapon
Damned Legionnaire with Flamer

I am infact tempted to buy all of the Legionnares (sp?) purely to put on a shelf painted. They are very nice models.

the new models and im guessing from the little symbol in the corner these wont be available inthe shops only online,

interesting pose on the sergeant not sure if i like it yet have to see it in person rest look ok thoughexcept the one that looks like hes got a half a helmet on thats just looking wierd imo

i hope that half helmet/ skull is seperate, really detracts from the overall look.

Yes and no. That lil symbol does mean its a mail order, but some indys get em in anyways.

I was in a GW yesterday and asked about the Legion of the Damned as i couldn't find them.

Apparently the box set is staying as a shelf item, but the blisters are only a splash release (available for one month) and then the new blisters in February are purely Mail Order only.

And the blister they have at the moment in stores are entirely random so if you want to get all the individual models your better off ordering online.

Yup. If you see the Citadel logo, it means it is a Direct Order item or, as it seems to be called lately, 'Available To Order.'

From a GW Hobby Store, it means ordering them in.

For the Phoenix Forge, it means that they are on a different ordering system to standard range items and must be ordered in (only 10% off compared to normal GW items, but still far cheaper in the long run).
