Ok So I was seriously thinking about this and going to post it when I saw this thread started today as well. So obviously it is sitting on peoples minds...

My army is pretty long term goal and has a lot of units that didn't appear at CanCon, so I've got a lot to do. With what I did take, I had actually started them in early December and thought I would have sufficient time to complete to at least Tabletop standard.... bzzzt "Wrong!"

OK, some of it I will blame on indecision, some on lack of skill, some on bad time management, some on education (learning where I now have to remove paint to assemble... Yes, I paint on Sprue, or somewhere in between now...), and even some on alcohol. The fact is, no model was complete and all of them had bits either bare plastic or undercoated only. I got the score I expected and I felt I deserved, namely a Zero. It was clearly outlined that that would be the score that you would get if you did have stuff unpainted, so all is well, even if I was disappointed in myself...

But I've now had a few days off painting and modelling afterwards, and have my area set up with the CanCon guys freshly disassembled and ready for more painting and finishing, as well as the other units. And now I'm getting back into it.

We do see a frantic rush to get armies painted before a Tournament, and occasional hilarity in the 'What have you got left to paint for XXXX?' threads. But I now pose to you the following;

What have you painted since CanCon 2010?

At the moment, Nothing...

1 Daemonette.

I have done the base coats on 1 Trygon, 1 Morlock, 2 Termagons, 3 venothropes, the parisite, and that's about it thus far.

4 skeletons! woooo now 50 or so to go and ghouls....... and zombies...... and nagash.....

and thats all i will be painting for 6 months

having a break from armies - found an old Tyrannic War Veterans Blister - doing the two marines up for a work painting competition on a mini display base. 1 down 1 to go

I read a book because I am just not up to painting for at least a few weeks.

However I have made a few more critters for my nids and have begun planning their paint scheme.

That being said I have to get started on my two WFB armies to get them ready for EL in the next few weeks.

Ooooh crap, EL, i forgot about that. Again.


Maybe i should undercoat my army even ?

No painting (or purchasing) from me for a while.

Just before CanCon I finished EVERYTHING I own (although everything I was using for CanCon was painted way before that).

I'm not really interested in 'Nids, I already have DA and GK so no more marine armies for a while (e.g. BA/SW), I've got plenty of IG and I'm really not interested in collecting another army with a crap/out of date codex, so until something is released that takes me fancy, I'm taking a break from the hobby side of things (except I may finally get around to flocking my gaming board).

Nothing as yet, but as I don't actually get home to my painting desk until tomorrow, I'm not expecting to have any stuff done until Monday, when I start on my Infinity stuff.

Edit: Currently one primed Fusilier hacker for my Infinity PanO army.

Finished assembling my CANCON stuff... a Razorback and Space Wolves Squad (no dont worry they will be non-Korsarro White Scars eventually). Finished assembling the 15 bikes, complete with topknots, face fungus and attitood from the Space Wolves box. Man that thing goes a long way....like 47 heads on those sprues. Vet Sergeants and Command Squads now sport Power-Lances. Pondering replacing the Land Raider with more bikes/assault squads...

started a 5 man unit if Alpha Legion (chosen) and 6 Emperors Children (Noise Marines)

Half a ruined city. Sam Tovey did the other half. As a group, we also built 2 tables worth of scenery in half a day.
