Hi all,

I was looking through my new Warriors of Chaos army book and the story of Archaon is particularly catching...

But sadly, Im not taken with the mounted or on foot minis... not for the man who is to bring the apocalypse to the Old World... anyways...

I have 2 mounts min mind, just need to find a suitable rider...

Any suggestions?

Yes, I have looked through all current GW stock and nothing seems to emanate the raw power and evil that he is intended to...

Priest
Paladin
Cleric
Plate
Male

Really after specifics to save some 'leg' work...

The only thing with the Avatar of War miniatures would be that they aren't mounted. They are only just releasing mounted miniatures so you would still have to convert a metal miniature to be riding the mount.

I thought you might be able to use the plastic Chaos Knights, at least you could have plastic legs designed to have a mount and then just kit bash from there with weapons, heads etc that you like.

I was thinking the exact same thing... except Im waiting for my DREMEL rotary tool in the post.

There is a nice Rackham Warrior Priest I was considering making him a temporary paraplegic, before grafting the legs of some other unfortunate on and giving him a demonic mount.

I have decided that the mount will either be:

GW Thing in the Woods

OR

Mouth of the Abyss

and poo poo to horseys!

I have decided that the hero must meet the following criteria:

- Suitably ornate upper carapace armour, including nice pauldrons. Helmeted or bareheaded will depend upon aesthetics

- Weapon: Halberd/great weapon, maybe something even exotic

- if he must have a shield, perhaps slung across his back or must have a suitably ENORMOUS main hand weapon.

- legs do not matter, as I will be stealing them from a chaos knight... unless the mini is already mounted and has a decent set of legs.

I will continue to scour the pages. Does anyone know of a local supplier of AoW or Reaper and Rackham?

I will soon have all the bitz to begin assembling this guy.

Not only that, I am looking to make his Swords of Chaos unit also.

If anyonehas any Rackham Drunes, Im in the market for 4-5 of them.
