Lurid colours, bug-eyed fervour in the expression, palid skintone. Fantastic go at traitor guard and a step away from "Red dudes with gasmasks" we see so often. Just one suggestion, please do something else with the base. Right now it's amazingly boring.

Pet Peeve - Aquilas and Wing'd Skulls not Defaced appropriately...

Other than that, love the colours and the concept...

Am not feeling it.

Sorry.

Agreed, if you're going to do traitor guard you need to do something to the imperial icons.

Ignoring the lack of conversion work and visible aquilas, the model is bad arse. The colourscheme is suitably discordant without just being a mishmash of bad colour choices.

'Lurid' is a good word for it. Spankyouverymuch Djinn

No idea whether you like it or not from this comment.

I like the face and skin painting.

However the model still looks too Imperial. I think you need to do more to make the model look more chaotic.

I'd be tempted to blend the models with chaos knight weapons and other bits to make them look more chaotic.

If you are going to use the Cadians as almost the exclusive part of the model as a minimum you need to remove the Imperial markings. This includes the helmet front, chest, chainsword and lasgun.

These should be replaced with chaos icons, either icons of the chaos powers or chaos stars or the sign of their daemonic patron or whatever.

I'd also take a look at the forgeworld conversion kits and look at how they could be simulated to make the models look more like a new unit and less like purple cadians.

I do realise that - as said this is just a test mini to chrck the colour scheme out.
We noticed that the colour is lame, and the guy who commissioned the whole army agreed to change violet to black , still he insists on (almost Tau) armour... I'm just a painter and I paint what I am asked for - so don't blame me for colours. As soon as the army arrives at my place will show you all the minis.
As stated before this was just a colour check sad.gif
