Dear diary,
Today a met a sweet man named barn that introduced me to a new site... lol
(personal joke there)

Any hoo, after growing tired of painting a countless see of green skins which has gotten to the point that i really have no idea if im actually getting any closer to getting them finished or if im going backwards.
I've decided to take a bit of a breather and take on a new project.

I still have a half built battle fortress and about 20 ard' boys that need to be converted and assembled as well as a number of other Orks.
Figuring its probably going to take me the Guts of a year to get the lot 100% painted n based i thought something like marines might be a good way to go for something a bit different and something that wouldnt quite take as long to get a small force together.
Mind you these days it seems 2.5k point force is small >.> go figure

Tossing up between white scars and imperial fist for quite some time i still couldnt really come to a final decision as to which way i wanted to go.
I already had a fairly sizable Dark Angels army and when i was last back home in Vic had a small game against a friends nurgle.... Which i might add flogged the Baaaagezus out of my orks.

After having my green butt royally kicked around the battle field n trying to work out how i could improve my fighting chances i thought, what the heck. cant beat em join em!!
And sooo after careful deliberation, and quite a bit of reading i narrowed it down to the
Stern, the Sterling the down right ssssexy followers of the Lord of Change,
The Thousand Sons Of Chaosssss buhhhh bumm bahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! *adds to the drama*

So far i havent got an exact idea of points i want just more so the models i want to get hehe>
It is going to be some what fluffy but when your walking into a hail of Bolters using rapid fire pinging off Inferno Bolts at S4 Ap3 i think i can probably afford a few show case looking models here and there.

As it stands due to the location of said gamer... supplies are some what limited so im still actually waiting for my order to come in containing 2X Thousand Sons Marines box sets as well as the formidable Ahriman, The Pimp hand of Tzeentch himself Spewing out an ungodly 3 psychic tests PER TURRNNN!
How ever, i did manage to get my hands on a Chaos Lord / sorc, squad of Terminators And a Predator.
All of which i added a few little conversions too just to try and suit the theme a little more.

Below are a few pics of what Ive done so far, still got quite a few ideas in the works such as a Chaos Spawn which will be represented by a WarHammer Tomb Kings model.

I actually had to sit back from the screen, extreme close up is extreme

I like the tomb kings head conversion simple yet effective very nice, also the sorcerer shoulder pads is looking sick. Cant wait to see it painted.

Just wondering what colour you were planning on painting the SM helmet on the trophy rack, cause that colour choice could really set it off.

Well being that ist a Raven wing helm ill leave it black for the time being though theres a few other bits on it that will have a bit of colour around the head as well as the helm for the Lord i was thinking of maybe silver to give it a bit of contrast. either that or doing it white n painting a tzeentch symbol over the face of the helm =D

Ok well, im currently cover'd in paint.. note to self.

yah ok lets just say not the best idea n one of my tiles until 3 minutes ago was a lovely shade of hawk turquoise >.> (have to admit i do like the colour though )

Ne hoo, ill finish cleaning my everything n post the pics of the lords body base and cloak.
Its not 100% finished but its reasonably close

more or less just gave the model a wash of ogryn flesh then badab black to tone down the armour and make the gold stand out a bit more once id gone over it again in shining gold and a very light brush of hawk torq again.






Started adding a little bit omre of the finer detail as well.







Hopefully have the arms just bout done by tonight =D

Just About finished the First Lightning Claw n shoulder pad.
Fairly happy with how the models turning out at this stage though still really not sure how to do the helm.
Might even pinch one from... something else god knows.
Feel free to give any suggestions.

Well, its been a little while between posts now and to be honest havent had a whole lot of time to do much other then cleaning mold lines ><
My order finally came in the other day so you can expect to see some 1k Sons troops start to come together as well as Ahriman which im rather lookning forward to painting.

Did manage to cut loose with the tank brush for couple hours early in the week though so the Predator has finally got a bit of colour in it =D

Still need to get myself some cork board to do the troops bases with for rocks and such. Starting to find that the slate really doesnt hold the models down to well. they are quite brittle and if you so much as bump them off it seems to break off in sheets >.>

Any hoo, couple quick shots of the Pred here, probable try and give the first squad of marines an under coat n maybe a bit of colour with any luck =P

Just done the base colours at this stage probably do some wash's on it later 2nite or

Well, i had intended on a few more progress shots but kind of got a lil carried away this afternoon
an before i knew it he was all but done haha.
Still want to do some form of pattern along the inside of the cloak n possibly a few Flames
Similar to the model shown in the Chaos Marines Codex, But other then that he's all done.

Next will probably be the remains of the pred and then the rest of my troops.
Hoping the other couple of Boxes i recently orderd from the UK get in soon as i can do the lot at once

Hey all just a quick post for Mr. Barn
Will follow it up later 2nite with a bit more info on the last week or so progress.

Most the marines and vechs are started with a base coat of regal blue, then a mix of 1:1 regal blue to hawk torq. once thats done i do a fairly heavy dry brush of straight hawk torq before washing it with badab black an then oygrn flesh n lastly another dusty coat of hawk torq.
then just run along the edges with brazen brass and then shining gold for metallic trim

still no sign of my order from maelstrom as of yet, though figured i might as well go and pick a couple cans of spray and some more paints which as it turns out was a bad idea lol.

Fell into temptation yet again and figured what the hell n ended up going home with yet more models.

So until the order doessss get here ill be working on converting myself a deamon prince.
Hadn't been able to find a Tzeentch Prince and didn't really feel like forking out almost 100 bucks for the
greater lord of change.
Had a bit of a squizz around the interwebs and found a few images of the ol primarch Magnus the Red.
So with that i decided i better bust out the green stuff and a few new knife blades (and yes Barn i've already totally dominated my thumb lol )

More or less going for a cross between Magnus's image below but a little more tainted by the warp =P

Long story short, order form the UK came in. more plastic to glue 2gether
and yeah, heres the Demon prince im converting to Magnus the Red
Ne tips on how to model hair would be very helpful.

Just curious if any one has any tips or knows of any guides as to how to mold Hair from green stuff?
Will post a few images in next day or so.

finally got around to finishing off the green stuff aside from doing Magnus' Hair.
Still not 100% sure how ill tackle that one.

Though also still not sure if i want to add anything else to the Chain axe or just leave it as it is.
Any suggestions are more then welcome.

Im Also aware the base is pretty over kill though the model itself is going to be on an elevated
platform. Also posting these shots a little large due to it still not having any under coat or colour
in it, some of the detail can be bit hard to make out in the smaller image.

Hey all, Finally got Magnus finished off.
Pretty happy with the way the model turned out. Hair was a bit of a bugger to get how i wanted but after a couple of layers of green stuff i managed to achieve what i was looking for.
Hope you like the finished piece.
Will post some more pics in the coming days when i got some paint on him




Added a little more work to the Chain axe to make it just that little bit more brutal looking

mm been a while since last post now.
To be honest havent done a whole lot either hehe.
Started on the rhino conversions which are for the most part done.
The First one has been fitted out with a new hull piece that wont be glued in so it can be used as both a rhino or vindicator.
The second is simply just a cool looking twin bolter conversion due to the fact that chaos cant use razors backs ='( so unfair.

also currently working on gettn some colour into the troops so in the next couple weeks hope to get them finished off as well as Magnus and the terminator aspir sorcerers

Afternoon gamer fans,
finally managed to get around to doin a bit of work on the vindicator and Rhino today while watching a few movies with the misses.

The vindicators still doesnt have a dozer blade as of yet which ill prob have a crack at tonight
but the Rhino just needs couple more coats on the metallic n its all but done.

Shall post a few shots bit later this evening =D
