Hey all,

I am considering doing greenstuff molds for my space wolves so i can put Ragnar's Company symbol on each of the shoulder pads rather then free handing them all on.

So I was curious as to how i would go about it, would it be easy enough to mould the symbol off of a shoulder pad that already has the symbol on it? And then just make the greenstuff copies?

Or would it be better to try and find a flat solid copy to make the cast from?

I want to do this for both Power armoured and Terminator Armoured Marines.

Any advice on making greenstuff molds and shoulder pad symbols in particular would be very welcome.

Thanks all,

Ty.

Use the shoulder pauldron, but apply a thin coat of vaseline to it before pressing the pauldron into the greenstuff. Stops it sticking to the plastic but it washes off after it hardens (and you remove the original).

I did this with my inquisitorial army, the link is in my sig - from meory I had a brief tutorial in short
1 - Thin layer of vaseline ove original
2 - Put a layour of GS over the top, press bloody hard to make sure it gets as much detail as possible
3 - allow to fully cure, then remove original
4 - put a small amount of gs on a new shoulder pad, add a tiny bit of vaseline to the outside
5 - press hard into the mold, remove before anythign sticks.

It's nowhere near perfect, but it works - I eventually went to casting copies of the shoudler pad since it was a lot easier. One thing that made it better though, make sure you have the mold with the shoulder pad trim - use this to line up the copies
