So a mate of mine got himself a copy of space hulk some time ago, and tried to paint some of the bits in it with catastrophic results. So he palmed them off to me to paint for him.
I would have been quite annoyed had I not wanted to paint them anyway. I can see problems arising when I'm finished painting though....

anyway, figured Gideon was as good a place to start as any so off we go.
just base colors to start with, mechrite red, wheres theres red, dheneb stone on all the white/bone parts. the gold parts were based with snakebite and have shining gold over. the silvers are straight boltgun metal over primer.





I have since washed with devlan mud but didn't figure that warranted a photo update of its own...
constructive input is most welcome.

as you said - theyre only base colours, so chuck on some washes and highlights, then post some pics
